“A student would tell a teacher if they had a headache, yet with a period there is a big stigma” Very informative listen on a huge barrier to participation in PE. WE need to speak more about the physical, emotional and social barriers that arise from periods.

🛹PE should mirror the Olympics and embrace change to stay personally relevant🏄‍♀️ 🏀 3v3 Basketball highlights how smaller teams can decrease the amount of pressure felt and improve inclusivity. Climbing, skateboarding, etc are lifestyles that promote PA for life #Olympics

🏫Very interesting article on the PA4E1 whole-school approach to PA, with simple strategies such as a funded PA champion. ➡️Significant support from Principle/Headteacher, with structured and unstructured PA opportunities at lunchtime are great contributors to a PA climate. #PE

@SoJustPEandYS @PEScholar Personally, I am not a believer of fitness testing. But when it is forced upon teachers within the curriculum, this is a useful resource for them to inspire and teach fitness testing meaningfully.

🏀Useful article on the hybridization of Sport Education with HbPE, evidencing how two conflicting models can achieve more student outcomes. 👨‍🏫Collaborating with a researcher allowed the planning and implementation of the model to be smooth. #Physed #EduPE #Models

🛹PL is the autonomous choice and free will to move, the cognition of learning about physical activity + Sport and the response to adversity as movement changes with age. 🚴‍♂️PL is a holistic, individualistic construct that is not bound to any outcomes. #flashback #PhysEd #EduPE

🦸‍♂️Teaching character and virtues is suited to UK PE teachers who have greater understanding of the affective domain. 🛹PE teachers who have experience in non-traditional sports, are better teachers in the affective domain. ➡️High Moral values can be taught through PE. #PhysEd

🚴 Despite the 'sportification' of PE NOT being relevant in the 21st Century, it remains the dominant discourse in PE. ▶️A 'Great Sport Myth' exists whereby the common assumption is that Sport is only good. 🏫Militarised discourses are still popular in PE. #PhysED #PE
