UN Security Council set to vote on Bahrain shipping protection resolution —— The UN Security Council is scheduled to vote on a resolution proposed by Bahrain aimed at safeguarding commercial shipping in and around the Strait of Hormuz, diplomats said on Friday. However, China has signaled it opposes permitting any use of force. Two diplomats said the 15-member Council will meet and hold the vote on Saturday morning instead of Friday, which had been the original plan. Diplomats said Bahrain, currently presiding over the Security Council, completed a draft resolution reviewed by Reuters that would permit "all defensive means necessary" to protect commercial shipping. In comments to the UNSC on Thursday morning, Fu Cong, China’s UN representative, expressed opposition to approving the use of force. He warned that such a step would be "legitimizing the unlawful and ‌indiscriminate use of force, which would inevitably lead to further escalation of the situation and lead to serious consequences." @decentralizedX1 @AXChristoforou You imply Iran needs help and has requested for it and has been denied; when they themselves haven't requested for any. They are good to go. Besides, last year, there were reports that Russia had transpired some of their own operated Mig 29 to Iran. Iran already had some.

Trump-NATO row is theater. Trump is playing his part. Rutte plays his role, Macron, Starmer etc... The Trump-NATO "fracture" is actually an MIC-NATO duplication. Trump's role is to place doubt in NATO, show disappointment in the alliance and create alarm in Europe. EU political factions, once upon a time, argued there was no need for an EU army because it would duplicate NATO. The narrative has now been flipped. GIven Trump's statements, the EU is "forced" to take security into its own hands... to duplicate NATO. Double the weapons, double the bureaucracy, double the MIC sales and further militarize Europe. High energy costs to produce weapons are no longer a political or budgetary restraint, but an accepted reality. Dmitry Medvedev: Of course, neither Trump nor America will withdraw from NATO. There's no point in it, and Congress won't allow it. Trump's rhetoric is just a stunt. However, symbolic actions like reducing the size of the American contingent or refusing to deploy something are possible. But that's not the point here. It's obvious that there are strong contradictions within the alliance, which have been exacerbated by the Iranian campaign. And European politicians, especially in Brussels, are seriously considering creating a full-fledged military component within the EU. And this changes the world picture. Until now, our rhetoric about membership in the European Union has been restrained and calm towards all neighbors, even towards the Banderist Ukraine. Join if you want. But now everything should change - the EU is no longer an economic union. It could quickly turn into a full-fledged and extremely hostile military alliance against Russia, in some ways worse than NATO.

“ALL PEOPLE ARE EQUAL BEFORE THE ALMIGHTY” 🇷🇺 Vladimir Vladimirovich PUTIN, President of Russia, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: - "It's no coincidence that there are four sacred texts on the table next to me: the Bible, the Quran, the Torah, and the Gandzhur (Buddha's sayings - ed.). Each of them contains eternal Truths, and the key defining one among them is LOVE FOR MAN, for one's neighbor. And this applies regardless of races, nationalities, and traditions. When the Holy Scriptures speak of a neighbor, of a Brother, it should be understood that they are talking not only about fellow believers, but about a person in general. Because in all world religions, all people are equal before the Almighty." - "In one of the earliest Russian philosophical and religious works - 'The Word on Law and Grace' - the very theory of the 'chosen people' is rejected and the idea of equality before God is preached. And in the 'Chronicle of the Times' the multinational character of the ancient Russian state is described." 📱 Homeland. Brotherhood. Heroes

This is interesting: Russia, China, and France are blocking the initiative of Arab countries for the UN Security Council to approve military action against Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, according to a NYT report. The last time Russia, China, and France were the only three permanent members of the UN Security Council to agree on an important issue was in 2003, when they opposed a joint resolution by the UK and the US on the invasion of Iraq. This forced the UK and the US to withdraw the draft resolution, preventing the UN from issuing a formal mandate for the invasion of Iraq.

Are the Baltic States entering the war against Russia without US support? Moscow warned about a response to the recent attacks from the Baltic States. This happens at a time when the US is preoccupied in Iran and Trump has said the US may not come to the defence of Europe

@decentralizedX1 @AXChristoforou Do you think weapons like that are bought like groceries that you go to the shop and pick up what you want and leave with it? Have you taken into account the ecosystem needed to successfully and effectively operate those systems? Or you want them to just have for having sake?

Mevedev and his Chinese counterpart can say all this but they’ll never actually arm and train their allies. Well, Not in any significant way that truly matters. Remember the Russian SU fighter jets? China could also help Iran short out its Mossad problem with Huawei telecoms and counter intelligence etc. That said , Whatever moves America or nato makes Russia/China will always be reacting and figuring out ways to absorb blows while endlessly hoping America goes back to some form of sanity.

Trump asked members of his cabinet whether he should fire US National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard for not supporting his arguments in favor of war with Iran. Can you imagine this circus? The intelligence chief reports to the president: "We haven't found evidence that Iran is developing nuclear weapons." Trump laughs in her face, calls Netanyahu, who assures him otherwise. In the end, the national intelligence director is fired because her own agency reported the truth. Which simply didn't align with the desired narrative. There are also rumours that he's going to fire Pam Bondi.

This Holy Week, in an interview with Ben Shapiro, Bishop Robert Barron told Shapiro that Pope Leo XIV's anti-war comments do not refer to the Iran War. Ben Shapiro: "How should people interpret the Pope’s recent comments on the evil of War?" Bp. Barron: "I furthermore agree with you that Pope Leo is not referring specifically to the Iran War." I suspect Bp. Barron will be receiving a phone call from the Vatican after Easter....

@TheStaad The good thing is that we are all privately seeking our individual salvation. Whatever he says or does only counts for or against him. So continue to live the faith and follow the authoritative teachings of the Church instead of the subjective logic of the individual.

So, Bishop Barron told Shapiro that Pope Leo’s timely antiwar comments are not about the Iran war, per se It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out When a Catholic prelate waffles on Catholic teaching and throws fellow Catholics under the bus for their defense of the Catholic faith in the face of heresy and schmoozes with powerful yet horrible world leaders and their heretic sidekicks, I’m gonna go with principles over personalities and side with the purity of Catholic teaching and its passionate advocates No matter how famous and media savvy said prelate is

@ZZvonimiro76162 @squatsons Your conclusion is pure imagination. Russia knows Ukraine more than the US knows about Iran. If they wanted to assassinate their leaders, they would have done it long time ago. Everything starts from Putin and ends with him. His restrictions are responsible for it continuing.

Russia has fairly successfully weathered the SMO storm economically, geopolitically and domestically. The long term attrition strategy will eventually allow the Russians to win out but Russia is failing in its deterrence of strikes on its territory and the potential of a ballistic armed Ukraine capable of reaching Moscow. I do not understand the rationale behind avoiding assassination strikes or targeting key infrastructure points which could devastate the Ukrainian war effort. It reminds me of a parent of an insolent child who has little to no ability of controlling said kid. The screaming, kicking and spitting is dealt with by a calm “we don’t do that sweetie” instead of a swift smack. Oil is up and the U.S. has changed the global dynamic. If Russia is providing targeting data to the Iranians that would at least be reciprocal retaliation but I personally believe, from an analytical position, that now is the moment for all nations at odds with the U.S. to push the envelope and put immense pressure on the belligerent hegemony. In Ukraine it would be simple and yet there seems to be a political withholding that will allow for significant damages in the future. I guess the Russians are waiting for the Ukrainians to kill somebody really important before they start targeting key Ukrainians themselves.

Jesus purifies not only our image of God from the idolatry and blasphemy that have distorted it, but also our image of humanity. For we tend to consider ourselves powerful when we dominate, victorious when we destroy our equals, great when we are feared. #HolyThursday vatican.va/content/leo-xi…

I am a new Catholic but I am deeply concerned about Bishop Barron. Paula White in an unabashed heretic. He remained silent when His Eminence was refused from the Holy Sepulchre but penned a Twitter novel lambasting Carrie PreJean over her theologically-sound views regarding Zionism. Today, the Bishop promotes Ben Shapiro as his friend— Ben, to his credit, has always been honest about his views that Christ was a criminal who is burning in feces in hell. I will remind you he also once told Ben that he could be saved, before backtracking. I ask you sincerely, what is the proper recourse for this within the church?
