@kfullermusic @AngusCMillar That’s terrible, there are plenty of other options, including what is done in the SEC walkway where the path is split in two for pedestrians and cyclists.

@PGChilds @AngusCMillar Yesterday he told me that this is the only option bc of the road hierarchy. I guess that means punish cyclists for no reason. There are 2 lanes of car traffic parallel, & if the rd. hierarchy were a real thing 1 of those lanes would be used for bikes, but it's not.

@AngusCMillar - i'm not sure who to contact, but the barriers are now completely blocking this area for bikes. it's literally the only cycle lane into town from this direction, and it's being blocked off for absolutely no reason. is there anyone who can do anything? thanks.

@AngusCMillar It's at the end of the Garscube cycle lane. It's the dip under the road that takes you to the Cowcaddens subway. They made it worse than the photo shows over the last 2 days. Thanks for your help.

@sturmeyarcher3 Fully agree, it bottlenecks cyclists and pedestrians and I suspect hasn’t made any consideration for wheelchair practicality. @GlasgowCC should paint a line down the middle like they have in the SEC footbridge.

Interesting insight into the current use of cell expansion bioreactors (or lack of) for lab grown meat. Major opportunity for innovation. wired.com/story/upside-f…

Genuinely intruiged by how far sound travels in Glasgow. I've been listening to Artic Monkeys all the way from the East End.

Olivia was working with us (@icmmcsic) measuring the nanomechanical properties of stimulated cells in colaboration with @PGChilds and @stureid41 from @StrathBiomedEng. It was a pleasure and initial results are promising. We are looking forward to the final results. 🧫🔬

Nice work showing MSCs potentiate antibacterial effects of topography and topography can protect MSCs from bacterial virulence factors - if the MSCs are encouraged to adhere. Congratulations @LailaDamiati for your new paper in Biomaterials - sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

I did one (1) strength training class last night at a local community gym. It was great, but I'm wondering... does regular strength training mean you are basically sore/aching every day as your muscles rework themselves?
