Any NASCAR fans on my feed? Daytona 500 in a couple hours, who's your pick to win The Great American Race? I have my very unlikely pick to win (I will post right before race time), let's hear yours!

Before carnivore, I was eating 1,400–1,600 calories a day. Lean chicken. Vegetables. Quinoa. Brown rice. Fruit. No bread. No soda. Low-carb tortillas if I had one. One cup of coffee in the morning. Water all day. I did everything “right.” I was so inflamed I needed walking sticks just to get to the mailbox. Everything hurt. I still had type 2 diabetes. I still had high blood pressure. I still had severe sleep apnea. My labs were terrible across the board. I lost 12 pounds in 3 months and felt absolutely miserable. Then I found carnivore and started flooding my body with fat. Around 200 grams of fat a day. A 2:1 fat-to-protein ratio, sometimes 3:1. Bacon. Butter. Ground beef. Egg yolks. Chuck steak. I was eating 1,800–2,500 calories a day and didn’t stress about a single one. I lost 138 pounds. More calories. Way more fat. Over ten times the weight loss in less time than when I was starving on lean chicken and quinoa. And even now, my intake has naturally come down. These days I’m around 120–150 grams of fat and 100–120 grams of protein, roughly 1,700–1,900 calories a day. I’m still losing weight, just more slowly, which is normal as body fat decreases. I didn’t force this reduction. It happened because my hunger regulated once my metabolism healed. So tell me again how it’s “just calories.” Because my body says otherwise. It’s not about how much you’re eating. It’s about what you’re eating and whether your body can actually use it.

@MissB53 Does this moron really think its because of the fat? its because youre eating less calories! Thats how losing weight works!

Nobody batted an eye when I lived off junk food and took three shots a day of insulin. Now they all of a sudden are experts on my diet and how it is going to kill me even though I now take no shots and came off two BP meds while losing over 80 pounds.

This is an interesting topic. I remember i had years of anxiety attacks, multiple ER visits and EKG’s etc. feeling like i was having heart attacks, for several years. Tried body for life, weight watchers, vegetarianism, and many others. Best result was Body For Life, but never reversed diabetes or lost more than 30 pounds and never found relief from crippling anxiety. Two years keto and nearly a year of primarily carnivore (less that 20gr carbs a day); i have not had a single anxiety attack in 2 years, down 80 pounds, and dropped A1c from 11 at highest to high 5’s.

I sincerely hope people with mental illness are listening- nutrition absolutely can dramatically impact mental health-to deny this is what is harming people

As an experiment in December-I added 150-200gm a day of carbohydrates to my carnivore diet, primarily from whole unprocessed foods such as fruit Results-I gained 10 lbs, my athletic performance did not improve at all, I started snoring and I developed mild proximal biceps tendinitis and some GERD Went back to carnivore and already feeling much better At nearly 60, I do better without carbs!

“I cut my carbs out and over the last two years I lost a total of 30kg, & I feel a lot better for it & am enjoying my life better for it. The best tip I have would be cut the carbs, they are the source of all health & obesity problems in this country” - Eddie Hall Strongest Man On Earth

@PHDCoachRuss I eat a lot of these. My only complaint is inconsistent quality. Some are bags are really good, others are dry and flavorless; not much middle ground.

Thoughts? Keep these in desk drawer or continue to bring hard boiled eggs to work?
