In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Hon'ble Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju, informed that the total expenditure under the Jiyo Parsi Scheme since its inception is Rs. 37.12 Crore, while a total of Rs 8.56 crore has been disbursed to the scheme beneficiaries directly through DBT in last 3 years. The Jiyo Parsi scheme is a unique Central Sector Scheme for arresting the population decline of the Parsi Community in India. To increase awareness and outreach of the scheme among the Parsi community , the publicity about the scheme is undertaken. Further, several workshops /interaction sessions with the community are organised, in addition to publication of Advertisements in Major Parsi Newspapers.
