@mshap2 @flyboy_norris Okogie was supposed to pick up Smart because he was lying next to him on the ground, while Reed went for Kennard (right decision). Reed ain't good on D, but this one isn't his mistake.

@flyboy_norris I see Reed’s thought here, especially with Kennard on fire. But I don’t quite think abandoning Smart (when Okogie wouldn’t be able to turn and recover onto him) is a smart move. Can’t just leave your man. Fair to note it’s a team error more than totally on Reed.

Kevin Durant is back for Game 2 and Josh Okogie is the 5th starter (as expected). That’s the Rockets’ most-used five-man lineup this season (377 minutes). It’s also a pretty terrific unit: +10.3 net rating 121.8 points per 100 possessions

🚀Here at Rockets’ practice ahead of Game 1 in Los Angeles on Saturday night Ime Udoka says Rockets are “zero-ing in” on choosing 5th starter for Game 1 alongside Durant, Şengün, Smith and Thompson. My guess: Josh Okogie Okogie and Tari Eason were first two names mentioned as best options to defend LeBron James.

I do sports betting for FUN at this point... I share my bets for free There's a lot of scam "handicappers" who charge $500 per pick. They add 0 value to the world. No skillset, worthless individuals Be aware... 99% of the sports betting industry is scum of the earth people.

100%. Last few years I was grinding NBA props like 12-14 hours a day going to bed 5am every day, health fucked, energy fucked, didnt spend much time with my family or friends. Now optimized it for 4 efficient hours a day, found less edges and volume down, but life quality and overall happiness up like 300%.

@roiguy123 Important point that too many miss. It’s a cliche but more money does not always mean more happiness. I know bettors making 10x what I do who I wouldn’t trade places with, and bettors making far less (even people losing $) who I’d trade places with in a heartbeat.

This is definitely worth reading in full, but I wanted to mention this point in particular. In this industry there’s a fairly common thought that the more complex your money making method is the better. I completely disagree with that. What matters is making money and overall happiness. You ideally want both of those to be as maximized as possible. If building a complex model provides you happiness then great. If figuring out how to optimize top down provides you happiness, that’s just as good. There are tons of top down bettors that make 6 figures a year. Some of the best make 7+ figures per year if not more. And most successful top down bettors I know love their job. I’ve made a lot of money from edges so simple it would make standard top down betting look like rocket science. But I enjoyed doing it and the money spends the same way. It’s important to keep in mind that in most cases the less complex your operation the harder it will be to keep it going long term. But unless you’re crossing ethical lines, don’t feel bad about how you’re making money.

PropsMadness Play(s) of the Day! YTD: 4-1 +2.64u 1u - TB-CHW F3 u2.5 runs (-135 @ DK) 1u - TB-CHW F5 u8.5 hits (+105 @ HR) Analysis 👇 Noah Schultz Debut Day! MLB Debut of Noah Schultz. #2 White Sox Prospect. Absolutely elite stuff. 97th percentile in K’s at 42.2%. 99th percentile in xwOBA at .149. 100th percentile in Chase% at 43.68%. 99th percentile in average EV at 78.4%. Schultz is someone who throws very hard and has control issues which makes him extremely hard to hit. Pair this and his stats mentioned above with Rays hitters and you got; 5 hitters in their lineup hitting below .215 vs LHP’s. 8 hitters with a 33% chase% or higher. 7 hitters with a walk rate below 8%. These numbers project extremely well against a Rays team who is well above the MLB average in Chase% and is bottom 7% in the league in EV. Schultz has allowed 4 hits total in 3 starts in AAA this season. Dating back to last season, he’s allowed 5 or less hits in 10/L11 games and I expect that to continue against a Rays lineup that has far more holes than it has strengths. Meanwhile on the other side. McLanahan has allowed only a .103 OBA to hitters this season including ZERO XBH’s thus far. He’s been wild, but has really limited opponents bats. Now facing a White Sox lineup who has been absolutely putrid coming in to today with a league worst .193 average and an above average chase% that bodes very well with McLanahan. PropsMadness Play of the Day! ‘26 MLB Season YTD 3-1, +1.64u Eury Perez o1.5 BB / Skenes alt u2.5 BB (-109 @ DK) Analysis 👇 Eury is a pitcher with little control. This season he’s over this in 2/3 with a 6 walk game. He struggles to get lefties to chase. His BB% goes from 8.8 to RHB to over 16% vs LHB’s this season. With that knowledge, The Braves have 6 lefties in their lineup tonight… with 5 of them having a 6.3% BB% or better vs righties this season including two of those going above 11%. And then two of their righties have a BB% above 11% as well. 4 of those hitters have a well above average Chase% which bodes very well with Eury’s below league average Zone %. I’m expecting the Braves to be patient vs a pitcher they know very well and let the walks come to them.
