Just me or is this a terrible investment? 0.5% in a year with a hell of a lot of time & effort on top? Like, why? Fine if it’s completely FU money but then in that case why hire someone to run it, and why share/care about ROI? Humble brag, my 26 ROI was 16% (+$355 on $2,200) 💁‍♀️

It's time for my final @Sorare 2026 ROI report 👀 After selling a couple of classic cards yesterday, my total withdrawals for last season > my total deposits. ROI has been achieved just in time for the new season, if I had taken rewards in ETH and not cash, I would have been up approximately 200+ ETH ⚽️ It was quite a mental health journey, full of highs and lows, but i've come out of #SR26 with a ton of new fantasy football JPEG friends (Nearly 200 new unique cards) ready for the new season. @mpenn_10 well written. especially the time issue (you are at a comparative disadvantage if you are not available every minute on the weekend) ruins it. on a game where ROI is hard to get compared to last year, this really is a deal breaker and the reason why I focus on a couple of leagues

Finite resources, scarcity, choice, opportunity cost. Irrespective of people’s motivations to play Sorare, everyone has a finite amount of time and money. Those that play “for fun” perhaps get frustrated with using up time (& money) on complexities, adjustments and moving goalposts year after year. Those that are at least somewhat financially motivated likely see a worse potential “ROI” vs last year, three years ago or five years ago, AND get frustrated with the same complexities, adjustments and moving goalposts. The problem is, all the above combined with addiction and lack of alternatives leaves an unclear picture - people complaining and shouting loud but playing anyway. Sorare’s DAUs and MAUs probably look fantastic. They can continue the track they’re on right now, as they have done for the past 3-4 years. Eeking out a bit more each year from the average user, gamifying further and treading a fine line re gambling, pushing it until they need to loosen the purse strings once more or introduce something new and shiny. If you zoom out, I’d guess the company has been cost cutting since 2022ish. Each year internally it seems to be “how do we improve profits”, which externally translates to “we listened to you (but your ideas were mostly stupid and don’t work for us), so we’ve changed and here you go - better than ever bla bla”. Sorare has unfortunately always been too short-term-ist. That said, extremely difficult to not be.

So I see a LOT of negative sentiment towards Sorare on this platform - and I have some questions! (Will likely turn this thread into a video today) First of all, I can agree the UI Changes / Name changes are taking people a lot of time to adjust to. I think the name changes specifically weren't needed and have confused matters more than they have improved them. I'm sure we'll eventually adjust, and I do think the UI in general is good for navigation (perhaps with some small changes) but they really should have / could have had some popups to assist people in the initial change phase or at the very least a dedicated video breakdown of the changes, who to interact with them and why they changed them. However, most of the complaints I see have very little to do with the UI / Name changes and more broad mentions of "Sorare is dead" or "They've ruined the game" So my questions for you all are, - What specifically changed from 26 to 27 that you don't like, and why - What historic point of Sorare was so good for you that you feel everything now is bad - What specific changes would you make if you was CEO for a day to the platform that would be both beneficial to the user but also not mean that Sorare goes bust in the coming years. And of course feel free to add any other points that I didn't directly ask about, I'm genuinely curious to find the root cause of the issues people have with the platform right now

@SimplyAlexSR @playMFL I actually like the new UI better which is mainly due to the fact that the previous one with arenas and leaderboards (for K/J-League and MLS) merged under the same arena tab.

I don’t buy into the Sorare UI being new and people haven’t adjusted because @playMFL rolled out a completely new UI 2 months ago and from day one everyone said how much they like it Sorare issue is two fold, changing too often and trying to do too much I just think how much easier life would be if they kept Sorare Data and just left the main Sorare page for buying players and setting lineups I honestly pitty the team trying to fit 3 game modes with multi leagues, multi modes, markets, scouting, socials, news, etc etc into one desktop that needs to also fit a phone screen. It’s an impossible task, no wonder the community hate it. In addition, if we didn’t have huge gameplay changes every 12 months we wouldn’t need a new UI or confusion on how to play a simple fantasy football game Do better on the game I love, thanks

Unpopular opinion: Der anytime entry wird für den Großteil der Manager zum Fluch, anstatt zum Segen. Es werden sich zu viele verleiten lassen Teamstacks zu spielen, anstatt die potentiell besten Spieler zu mixen, die aber nicht am gleichen Tag zur selben Uhrzeit spielen. Es wird jedes Wochenende Stress pur werden. Man muss quasi vorausplanen welche Spieler nur für Pro gestellt werden sollen, Aufstellungen checken, und dann ggf. nochmal umplanen. Um dann zu sehen, dass Spieler X in Arena/Arena Rooms/Classic steht oder einen anderen Spieler nehmen muss, der eigentlich für eine Stufe später geplant war. Und das für 2-3-4-5 Ligen??? Wohl dem, der so viel Zeit hat…und nicht nur der Faktor Zeit spielt hierbei eine Rolle. Man wird die ganze Saison nachkaufen (müssen), weil Spieler X fehlt oder weil man mit seinen Mainteams die Streak nicht erreicht und dann aus der Emotion heraus am Sonntag Abend einen Köln Stack völlig überteuert kauft (letztes Spiel des Spieltags), weil man doch noch die Chance wahren möchte die Streak zu hitten. Nein Danke…leider überhaupt nicht davon angetan. #sorare

Anytime Entry ist wahrscheinlich die beste Neuerung. Endlich kann man auf bestätigte Aufstellungen warten. Weniger DNPs. Weniger Frust. Bessere Entscheidungen. Der Nachteil: Man wird vermutlich noch mehr Zeit in Sorare investieren und die breite Gallery benötigen

The World Cup on pro #sorare has been terrible. Nice gesture to up the prizes, better than the original plan Considering they gave out $10k for people guessing scores in colors a genuine embarrassment to pro players (especially ones who paid for world cup) boosted cards 4 streaks in the knockouts (where games get harder and harder) and no leaderboard It’s that bad I forgot to enter my classic teams this game week. Genuinely have no interest in it. This is the World Cup. A worldwide festival of football and fun. Wake up (not talking to myself 🤣)

@kaneia_com @YourAnonNews maybe it helps to watch a game and see for yourself. fifa may have sold most tickets (for example to scalpers) but they did not resell it. other people returned tickets because they couldn't attend/weren't allowed inside the country. some stadiums had no more than 70% attendance.

@Pidel__ viel mixen schwierig weil aufstellungsinfos nur stückweise reinbröckeln. ich versuche ab stufe 2 mit bedacht zu spielen und die kids zu nehmen die relativ safe (und gut) sind. irgendwie die 40 essence stufe schaffen bevor deutschland vs. curacao spielt.

Alle Top Nationen (außer Belgien) scheitern bisher für #sorarecolors als Stacks. Zumindest auf den Stufen auf denen ich mich befunden habe. Werde mir wohl eine andere Herangehensweise suchen müssen. Andernfalls will man momentan auch nicht wirklich mixen, da man wieder so schnell wie möglich klettern will und das geht nun mal am besten wenn man jedes Spiel mitnimmt. Naja heute jedenfalls wieder auf Stufe 1 beginnen. Meine höchste Stufe war bisher die 400 Punkte (40 gems), die ich dann in 4 Versuchen auch vergeigt habe…weil eventuell zu Schnellzug viel gewollt!? Was ist eure Taktik? Hat jemand schon Cash gewonnen? #SorareSet

It's time for a quick annual ROI review for @Sorare, as the european season ends and focus turns to the World Cup and MLS. My total deposits: $714,037 My total winnings: $752,332 My total withdrawals (the important one): $666,698. So on paper, i'm currently running at a 5-10% loss, however, I have not valued the remainder of the MLS season, the World Cup or all of my shiny new JPEGs in these calculations - How did I do?
