Two weeks ago, when asked about a criminal investigation into Powell being dismissed, @POTUS told reporters he still wanted the cost overrun looked into. “Somebody has to find out why that building that should have cost $25 million is costing billions of dollars. You know why they have to find it out? For other buildings because that's not the only one. I think that's the most egregious example,” he said.

My Disney pitch: Leave Fantasy Land to the families. Kids or adults accompanying kids only. Space Mountain, Pirates, etc? Sure. But do you, a 45 year old hanging out at the park with no kids REALLY need to ride Dumbo? Also, make Fast Passes for families only. It's a park for kids, let the kids go to the front of the lines.

My family and I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump and Norah O’Donnell last night, and we were shocked. Seeing a president speak to a woman journalist with that level of contempt — and a clear allergy to facts — is disturbing, though at this point not unexpected given his pattern of behavior. But that is the problem. Because when that level of disrespect from the highest office in the country repeats itself, it starts to trickle down into our culture and define what power looks like, shaping how boys and plenty of men see women and girls and what they come to accept as normal behavior.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

The shooter from last night was a CalTech grad who had just got his graduate degree in computer science. He was staying at the hotel. The shooting happened the floor above the ballroom. Despite Trump trying to use this to push forward his ballroom project, it’s unclear if Trump was even the target! He was not politically affiliated.
