The Division of Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (DRMNCAH) in Kenya conducted its National Forecasting Exercise for priority Maternal Newborn Health commodities last week to review requirements for the FY 2025/26 period and forecast needs for the next three years. The exercise was supported by inSupply Health in collaboration with Health Procurement Africa, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc., and Lwala Community Alliance. This three-year outlook is critical for informed resource allocation, financial planning, and strategic procurement to ensure the consistent availability of MNH commodities and prevent future stockouts. The engagement convened key stakeholders from DRMNCAH, the Division of Health Products and Technologies (DHPT), Kenya Medical Supplies Authority, and county representatives from Isiolo, Nairobi, Kakamega, Nakuru, Makueni, and Trans Nzoia, alongside supply chain implementing partners, to align national and county priorities. Effective forecasting is the foundation of a resilient health system. By refining priority commodity needs and strengthening coordination across partners, we move closer to ensuring that Every Woman and Every Newborn, Everywhere (ENEWE) has timely access to essential, life-saving products.
