Not one of my best speeches, but I’m tired of being talked down to as a working class Cllr. When it comes to poverty, I know it well so don’t dismiss me. Same thing happened last night when Green Cllrs told us food banks should be stopped and charity is despicable.

I don’t know about you, but if I was going to hold an event on economic distribution I would most likely not put four privately educated people on a stage. It’s getting awfully tiring hearing about poverty from people of all political shades who have only read about it in a book.
