“The first ever money I made was from NYSC and it was ₦3,600. While others were spending their allawee, I was thinking of investing. Now I earn $300,000 just to sew a single cloth.” — Billionaire Fashion Designer, Seyi Vodi

This is a video of John Arum Azi, a UNIJOS student who was recently k! dn@pped along the Kaduna-Jos highway. He was traveling with six others, making them seven in total. The k!dn@ppers used his own phone to record him being tortured and sent the video to their class WhatsApp group. They are demanding 30 million naira for his release. This is not just a story. This is someone's son, someone's brother, someone's friend. A young man with dreams and a future, now b£gging for his l!fe on a video his c@ptors made him star in. My heart goes out to John and the six others. No one should have to experience this kind of t£rror. No family should have to watch their loved one being tort¥red on a phone screen while waiting for a miracle. To the Nigerian Police, the Department of State Services, the military, and all security agencies responsible for protecting lives along our highways, please do not wait until this becomes another forgotten case. These seven young people need r£sc¥e now. Each of their families cannot afford 30 million naira. No amount of money should determine whether a child returns home. To the government, the Kaduna and Plateau State authorities, and the University of Jos, act and speak up. Show these families that their children are not alone. Pr£ssure the security system to act before it is too late. To everyone reading this, do not scroll past. Share their story. Tag the authorities. Raise your voice for people who cannot speak for themselves right now. We cannot save everyone, but we can try for these seven. Let them know that Nigerians haven't abandoned them.
