🔴MIURA 5 Progress Update now live! MIURA 5 is rapidly coming together, with tangible progress across manufacturing, integration, testing and launch infrastructure. All of our team is taking part in the path towards flight readiness: • Manufacturing and integration of the two first MIURA 5 qualification units (QM1 & QM2) in record time to validate the complete subsystem before flight unit production. • Parallel qualification test campaigns, successfully ongoing across all launch vehicle components, from engines to avionics, from software to GNC algorithms. • Ground Support Equipment is being manufactured in Spain and will soon undergo on-site testing, while civil works at our launch complex at CSG (Kourou) moves forward simultaneously. With part of our team already working on-site and preparations advancing at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG) in Kourou, we are working closely with local institutions and the community. We have successfully completed the 𝗟𝗣𝗦𝗥𝟮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (@esa), a key study within the Future Launchers Preparatory Programme (FLPP) that enables us to advance the 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗜𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝟱 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲. Throughout this work, our team evaluated propulsive braking strategies, trajectory adjustments, and technological solutions applicable to structures, propulsion, avionics, and fuel management. These advances strengthen our capabilities in reusable launch systems and open the door to integrating these technologies into future operational versions of MIURA 5. This milestone coincides with the ESA Future Space Transportation Spring Session in Paris, where we shared the results with institutional representatives, industry, and investors, and stands as a decisive step toward first‑stage recovery, bringing this capability closer to operational reality. Our team has started test campaigns on TEPREL-C throttle capabilities to enable future Stage 1 re-entry control. This effort includes testing materials, engine components, and operational sequences to ensure MIURA 5 can perform powered re-entry retro-propulsive manoeuvre prior to landing. These test campaigns have been developed in collaboration with ESA’s FLPP framework contracts and will be progressively implemented in upcoming MIURA 5 flights.
