🔴MIURA 5 Progress Update now live! MIURA 5 is rapidly coming together, with tangible progress across manufacturing, integration, testing and launch infrastructure. All of our team is taking part in the path towards flight readiness: • Manufacturing and integration of the two first MIURA 5 qualification units (QM1 & QM2) in record time to validate the complete subsystem before flight unit production. • Parallel qualification test campaigns, successfully ongoing across all launch vehicle components, from engines to avionics, from software to GNC algorithms. • Ground Support Equipment is being manufactured in Spain and will soon undergo on-site testing, while civil works at our launch complex at CSG (Kourou) moves forward simultaneously. Fue un encuentro especialmente significativo para los numerosos alumni de la UPV que hoy forman parte de nuestro equipo, entre ellos nuestro CEO y cofundador, Raúl Torres (@RaulTorresPLD). Durante la visita, pudimos compartir nuestra historia, que tiene sus orígenes en la universidad y que hoy avanza gracias a una cultura basada en la ejecución, el trabajo en equipo y la excelencia técnica. Estamos impulsando en Elche y Teruel una nueva industria de lanzadores en serie, que ya genera más de 1.000 empleos directos, indirectos e inducidos y posiciona a España en la vanguardia de la industria espacial europea. Gracias al Ministerio de Industria y Turismo (@minturgob) por su interés en un proyecto que refuerza la autonomía estratégica de España y Europa en el acceso al espacio.

Nuestro presidente ejecutivo, Ezequiel Sánchez (@ezequielsanchez), se reunió ayer con el ministro de Industria y Turismo, Jordi Hereu (@jordihereub), con el objetivo de exponer el efecto tractor de PLD Space en España. Desde 2024 hemos invertido más de 40 millones de euros en fortalecer la cadena de aprovisionamiento de MIURA 5 en España, en la que ya participan más de 490 empresas que fabrican más de 7.500 componentes del lanzador.

𝗠𝗜𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝟱’𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻. The complete stage brings together avionics, feed system, RCS, and the primary and secondary structures - all developed and manufactured in-house by PLD Space. Next up 🔜 EMC testing abroad. Once completed, the entire second stage will return to our facilities for engine integration, in preparation for a static test at our test facilities in Teruel. This is what true vertical integration and a test-like-you-fly approach look like. One more step closer towards MIURA 5’s first test flight in 2026 🚀

🚀 We have increased our investment in the MIURA 5 Launch Complex at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG) to €35M. This milestone makes PLD Space the first private operator to invest at this scale at the ELM-Diamant site, contributing to the evolution of Europe's historic spaceport. Space Camp Valencia is back! 🚀 For the third year running, we are continuing to build as Lead Contributor to the global growth of Space Camp Valencia, the most complete summer bootcamp in early space exploration for younger generations aged from 10 to 17. What’s new this year? ▪️Participants will benefit from a complete experience that combines fun, learning, technical knowledge and cultural immersion in the local life of the city of Valencia. ▪️12 challenges trained by experts in education and space, designed to simulate the rigorous training of future astronauts, from launching rockets to working in zero gravity, simulating launch missions or piloting aircrafts, among others. ▪️A group of over 100 explorers from all over the world who will learn collaboratively through hands-on methodologies. ▪️The awarded trainees of our last two AdAstra Early Talent internship programmes will actively take part as ambassadors during several workshops, providing inspiration, mentoring and impactful knowledge sharing. 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗜𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝟱’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲! These are the Flight 1 Liquid Oxygen (LOX) tanks for our orbital launch vehicle -first and second stages- now taking shape as part of the integrated flight structures. Seen here in their final flight-ready configuration, this flight hardware marks a key milestone ahead of MIURA 5’s first test flight, planned for 2026 from Kourou. MIURA 5 is moving from development to the launch pad really fast 🚀

Yesterday, we welcomed to our headquarters a group of 14 university rocketry teams that make up SURTAM (@SurtamSpain), Spain's national student rocketry association. Representing renowned aerospace universities from Madrid, León, Bilbao, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, and Zaragoza, all teams joined us for a day of learning and inspiration. Our Co-founder & CBDO, Raúl Verdú (@ingverdu), shared his journey from student rocketry to building a space company, while our Program Management team offered a deep dive and Q&A session around PLD Space's engineering philosophy, testing culture, and vertically integrated approach. We hosted the hackathon of the third edition of our 𝗔𝗱𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 yesterday, bringing together 100 university students selected from more than 1,000 applications. Throughout the day, participants demonstrated strong problem‑solving skills and teamwork while tackling a series of hands‑on challenges: 🔹 Welcome session led by our CEO and Co‑Founder, Raúl Torres (@RaulTorresPLD) 🔹 Testimonials from former AdAstra participants who are now part of the PLD Space team 🔹 Team‑based resolution of 19 engineering challenges inspired by real PLD Space scenarios, with the support of area managers 🔹 Guided tour of the MIURA 5 manufacturing area The technical and human level demonstrated throughout the day was outstanding, reflecting the high standards of a highly competitive selection process that will conclude with the onboarding of 30 new team members at PLD Space this summer.
