Metro girls 800 - Alexis Chadek gaps the field on the first lap and holds on for a 2:14 win. Grace Hovey and Litzey Fredette take next two spots in 2:18 and 2:19.

I am SOOO thankful that I get to coach such a great group of girls. I am also thankful for my running partners at the is morning’s downtown Turkey Trot. I also got to see a few current runners and former runners/students. You all warmed my heart on this cold morning!

Special thanks to our teammates and managers that cheered the runners on through the race. They crammed into a single van so the girls running could spread out in the other vans and made some very nice signs. Thank you!

Thanks for all the support the girls received this week. Thank you to the Andersons for have the girls over for dinner and to all the parents for the signs, school decorations, and goodie bags.

What a great day for the Monarch girls at the state meet! Team finished 4th, led by Alexis Chadek (8th) and Layla Phillips (11th). Both earned medals in times that beat the previous school record for the state course.

Monarch girls are headed to state after being runners-up in the A-3 race today. Medalists included Alexis Chadek (2nd), Layla Phillips (3rd) and Emma Wasilewski (13th). Chadek’s time breaks a very short-lived school record (see 7 days ago).

Congrats to the La Vista Middle School girls XC team on their win at the State Junior High race this afternoon! Way to go Avery, Aubrey, Casey, Isla, Kylie, Adalyn and Layla!

I told the girls the new gold uniforms made them look fast. They must have believed me, especially Layla. She finished 5th in a new school record for the home course!

What a fun day for the team! The girls gave great effort on the course this morning and then gave back by supporting Girls on the Run at Tara Heights.

This past weekend during the Air Force - Navy football game, recent alumni were able to put their college rivalry aside for a picture. Caroline, Evan, Noah, Colby, and Morgan represent Monarch Nation and their respective service academies. We are so proud of them all!

On Friday we recognized September’s Monarchs of the Month. We appreciate their hard work in the classroom and getting their school year off to a great start. Congratulations! #TraditionOfExcellence

Monarch girls returned to Walnut Grove for the Millard West Invite this morning They showed a lot of improvement on times from the Burke Invite. We also had one medalist with Emily Frey placing 15th in the JV race.

Solid day for the Monarch girls at UNK Invite. Layla Phillips 7th. Alexis Chadek 9th. Team runner-up. Bonus: we got to see our favorite Loper!
