The $VIX did not do its normal *big panic spike then crash*...I actually would've preferred that. This slow grinding uptrend on $VIX lowers the probability of a v-shaped recovery. It moreso points towards prolonged choppiness (not necessarily just downside). Grinding up $VIX typically means: - persistent demand for protection - no true trapping yet (market makers, retail) - no big volatility event (flush) to clear positioning Thinking either $SPY continues to chop violently (down AND up) until macro is resolved, or there's one big blow out flush before heading higher again. Either way...risk-off + patience.

So Cramer already said we should be down more. Now we got Ackman crying, probably on CNBC this week. We also got Iran official giving trading tips, so there’s that. What other dominos need to fall? Perhaps the guy who posts the SP500 is up 100% of the time in the next 3 months when “insert event here” happens to turn bearish and the bottom is in?
