@berkey11 @tombos21 Imagine 732xhh, the two bigger stacks have 77 and QJhh and the covered player who wants to run it once has AKhh. Now every time a heart hits without a board pair it's ran once, every time the board bricks it's ran twice.

Bart's right about this btw. The reason is weird. Imagine three players go all-in. The short stack wants to run it once. The two big stacks agree to run it twice if the shorty loses. This feels completely fair, but it secretly shifts some mian pot from one big stack to the other. The problem is that the second board only happens when the short stack loses. Your normal heads up equity vs the other big stack changes the moment you condition it on the shorty missing first. The golden rule to keep things fair: Every player eligible for a pot must agree on exactly how many times that pot is run.

There is a situation where running it twice will shift a player’s equity but it shouldn’t be allowed. In a multiway all-in if two big stacks want to run main+side pot twice the shorty must agree to run the main twice. Otherwise the equities will shift for one of the large stacks
