Escalation of Russia’s attacks on 🇺🇦 has been condemned by countries at the UN. 🇵🇱 has joined 50 nations in expressing determination to achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace. 🇷🇺 must immediately end its aggression, which constitutes a grave and violation of 🇺🇳 Charter.

During the Protection of Civilians Week 🇵🇱 joined 86 delegations in a stakeout to reaffirm, amid growing needs, shrinking resources, and institutional reform, that PoC must remain at the center of the 🇺🇳’s peace and security, humanitarian, and human rights efforts.

At today’s UNSC briefing on Ukraine, Poland made it clear: 1️⃣ The only root cause of this war is Russian imperialism; 2️⃣ Ukraine is exercising its inherent right to self-defence - Russia’s attacks are illegal; 3️⃣ Full responsibility for the war lies with Russia.

When 🇷🇺 attacked 🇺🇦, 1.73 million Ukrainian refugees received legal protection and financial support in 🇵🇱. Many of them were seniors. At the Polish-Ukrainian Seniors’ Club in Rzeszów, they can get play chess, dance and sing, learn Polish and make new friends. #ResilientTogether

At #WUF13 representatives of 🇵🇱 @KSzczerski and 🇲🇼 as the co-facilitators of the political declaration on the midterm review of the #NUA held a productive conversation with @UNHabitat Executive Director @AnacludiaRossb1 on how to make the high-level meeting in July a success.

Today Amb. @KSzczerski delivered remarks at the Joint Closing of the Assemblies at #WUF13. He underscored the importance of perspectives of local and regional governments, women, youth, business and civil society in designing future inclusive urban policies.

At #WUF13 Amb. @KSzczerski participated in deliberations of the World Assembly of Local and Regional Governments. Implementing #NUA requires well-organized multilevel governance and delivery close to urban citizens.

Ministerial Session of #WUF13 was co-chaired by Amb. @KSzczerski of 🇵🇱 in his capacity of co-facilitator of the political declaration on the midterm review of the #NewUrbanAgenda.

#WUF13 opened in Baku with the Ministerial Meeting on the #NewUrbanAgenda, marking a key step toward the 2026 mid-term review. Ten years after Habitat III, the #NUA continues to guide action for inclusive, resilient cities — with housing at its core. #HousingTheWorld

#WUF13 began today. Amb. @KSzczerski, speaking at the opening ceremony, underscored that implementation of the #NewUrbanAgenda depends on effective multilateral cooperation and strong partnerships.

At today’s 🇺🇳 #ECOSOC special meeting on safeguarding energy and supply flows, 🇵🇱 stressed the need for energy diversification and reducing dependence on single suppliers, markets, and energy sources - essential for greater resilience and stability.

Today we mark the anniversary of Arthur Rubinstein’s iconic concert in San Francisco at the UN Conference. His performance 🎹of the Polish anthem became a powerful reminder of Poland's presence & sacrifice at a defining moment in the creation of the postwar international order.

Yesterday we had a fruitful exchange with students from the US Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. We discussed the connection between UN diplomacy and military engagement in UN peacekeeping missions, and shared perspectives on the future of the UN.

🥂A strong turnout last night as members of the 🇺🇳 community gathered to celebrate 🇵🇱 Constitution Day and the legacy of Europe’s first constitution. Hosted by Amb. @KSzczerski, the evening brought together the 🗽NYC diplomatic corps in a spirit of friendship and cooperation 🤝.

Continuing the debate on the NPT RevCon’s draft outcome document, 🇵🇱 stressed its unwavering support for the 🌎 actions of @iaeaorg, particularly in relation to 🇮🇷 allegedly peaceful nuclear programme.

Commenting on the draft outcome document of the NPT RevCon, 🇵🇱 stressed the need to contextualise the message. Thus, we firmly believe that: ❗️the nuclear militarisation of Kaliningrad Oblast and 🇧🇾 by 🇷🇺 constitutes an act of nuclear intimidation and undermines the NPT.
