Yesterday’s heavy rainstorm brought challenging conditions across the 19th District, but our officers answered the call. From assisting community members trapped in flooded vehicles to ensuring residents got to safety, they stepped up when our community needed them most.

Despite the tough times we endured this past week, we stayed together, kept pushing forward, and continued building bridges within our community. Through adversity, we found strength in one another. This win is for 19th district pride.

Yesterday, we lined the streets to see off the last officer injured in the line of duty as he left the hospital and began his long road to recovery. The outpouring of support was a powerful reminder that we stand together as one family. Wishing him strength and a full recovery.

The 19th District had a great time enjoying the Afrikan Street Festival! A special shoutout to the students of Harambee Charter School, who put on an outstanding performance and truly put on a great show. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate culture and community.

Sometimes you just have to bring the message directly to the neighborhood, even in the rain. Great conversations and community engagement at the Captain’s Block Meeting as residents came together to voice concerns and work toward solutions.

Great discussion at today’s 19th District Captain’s Town Hall Meeting! Topics included stolen auto prevention tips, the discussion of a future Ring Camera Initiative, current crime statistics, and upcoming community events. Thank you to everyone who came out and stayed engaged!

The 19th District continues our strong partnership with Target through today’s “Coffee with a Cop” event. We appreciate the continued support and opportunity to engage with community members in a positive and meaningful setting.
