Follow-up fossil hunt at Lavernock! Building on what we learned in Porthkerry, our group explored this famous site, home to a student-discovered dinosaur 🦖. Calm waves, curious minds, and amazing finds — a perfect day outdoors! 🐚🔍 #FossilHunt #Lavernock

We had a fantastic day learning about butterflies and why they matter, followed by a nature walk to count and submit sightings to the Butterfly Conservation Society. We wrapped up with some beautiful butterfly crafts! #ButterflyConservation #CitizenScience #NatureCrafts

We started by tidying around the ranger’s cottage, then cleared overgrown paths near the lodge, cutting back nettles & brambles. Finished up with a bit of litter picking on the way back. #Volunteering #Conservation #TeamWork

Many hands made light work as we were joined by a group of volunteers from @PrincipalityBS. We raked the meadow, clearing the cut grass to reduce soil fertility & allow wildflowers to thrive. Thanks to our brilliant volunteers for their hard work in the wild weather!

Wellbeing & Rights of Way were the focus this week! One group painted pebbles with positive messages while the conservation group cleared an overgrown footpath to improve access to the park. There’s something for everyone at our sessions!

🌱 We’re clearing back vegetation to open up pathways and keep the streams clear in Porthkerry. It helps everyone get around safely and keeps nature happy and healthy. Thanks for supporting our efforts!
