@PQuestion24804

Government by Press Barons has been a disaster. Not impressed with infantilisation & radicalisation in the UK & rise of fascism.

@JackxJewell Her parents came to England from Africa on a tourist visa to give birth here to claim dual British citizenship for Kemi. She then moved here as an economic migrant. She was selected for a safe Tory seat by David Cameron as part of a diversity scheme. She’s a raging hypocrite.

Kemi says nothing revolutionary or outrageous - just succinct home truths that feel so satisfying because we’ve been starved of seeing common-sense views reflected back at us. I love her more and more every day. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@carolecadwalla Smart hire in being MAGA aligned? Phillips is an anti Muslim racist and does that antisemitic thing of accusing critics of Israeli state crimes of being antisemitic. People of colour being the front person for racists is a lucrative career move in the political-media class.

@JohnCleese Are they in the room with you now John? What are we to do with these infantalised and radicalised pensioners that believe anything? Maybe a social media ban to protect this vulnerable group?

Maliq, We all see Muslim scholar and clerics telling us all that Islam will take over the UK, that infidels will be killed, that wives will be beaten, that child marriage is desirable, and that Female Genital Mutilation will be allowed All of this is quite contrary to British tradition Why do you pretend this is not going on ? We are not all complete fools...
Maliq@MasterMaliq

When non-Muslims say Islam is not compatible with civilisation, I always ask: Which part? The universities Islam built? The sciences it advanced? The cities it developed? The knowledge it preserved? History is a stubborn thing.

Labour have appointed a new adviser at the Ministry of Justice. And she has extreme views. She called Henry Nowak's murder “useful” to the Right, and the public reaction to two-tier justice “dangerous”. This is someone who should be nowhere near our justice system. 🧵

@davidyelland Perfect fit if you need an ethnic minority to front anti-Muslim prejudice and attacks on BLM, and a presenter willing to defend Israeli state crimes against humanity and make bad faith antisemitic attacks on critics of Israel. He’s perfect for MAGA’s alternative reality.

@JP_Spencer_ @AdamRamsay By constituency with the Brexit heartlands around The Wash. For years, we had southern Tories claiming there would be trouble up North if we didn’t have a hard Brexit. I guess threatening disorder by pensioners in Kings Lynn doesn’t instil the same fear in Westminster.

Did the North vote most heavily for Brexit? Ten years on from the referendum, the idea of the ‘Northern Brexit voter’ has become almost a political fact. But this stereotype is based on a myth. The North did not vote the most for Brexit. Find out more: futurenorth.substack.com/p/the-north-vo…

@mehdirhasan Grace Blakeley? Seriously? The only reason we know of her is because she was promoted by MSM as a supporter of Brexit (Lexit 😥), and hence should never be heard of again. Bad judgement, bad analysis, and naive.

Absolute clash of two realities — virtual and offline. This Reform UK by-election placard stands outside a home in Ashton-in-Makerfield with solar panels. The placard is a reminder that what people post online and what is happening on the ground are not always the same thing.

@iealondon @FraserNelson The lowest unemployment benefits in Europe aren’t the issue. It’s a country run by and for the southern elite, with everything geared up to serve London including all national infrastructure. We need regional economic inclusion - flexible working & wfh help.

@moving_charlie You’re not old enough to remember the 70s. Statistically the highest quality of life ever experienced in human history by the average person. Since the 80s wealth has been redistributed from us all to the very wealthiest, dramatically accelerating after the 2008 crash & austerity

Gary, you're not old enough to remember how bleak things were in the 1970s and cutting taxes in the 80s saw the biggest jump in quality of life for the whole country, eventually. A tiny number of billionaires did not take everyone's money. Poor government policy allowed corporations to clean everyone out. Making the rich poor won't fix anything. We have to make the poor, rich. The only way to do that is with policies that foster job creation and wage growth. You could rob all the billionaires of everything, it wont make anyone richer if they don't have jobs. Being rich is better than being poor, don't you agree? So rather than making rich people poorer, let's make poor people richer. Taxing the rich won't make poor people richer, will it.
Gary Stevenson@garyseconomics

We have a choice: either tax the very rich more or have widespread extreme poverty

@NicholasTyrone Wouldn’t that be nice. But the link between GDP/economic growth and wage growth was broken in 2008. Since then GDP has grown and real term wages have not. Working people are not seeing the benefits of economic growth, it is all being captured at the top. That’s the problem.
