Our PhD student @Rudbaek_Science spent the last month investigating how to best extract proteins from dried best spot samples with the Affinity Proteomics group at Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan, Stockholm. He worked on optimization of protein extraction using the O-link technique.

It was an absolute pleasure hosting @AdamFayeMD, Director of Clinical Research at NYU IBD Center. We are grateful for the opportunity to dive into our ongoing collaborations on IBD onset and treatment outcomes, especially in the growing population of older adults in IBD.

We’re thrilled to announce that @FilipOttosson2 is our new Head of Metabolomics. He has a strong background from @lunduniversity and @SSI_dk and will be leveraging our metabolomics data with nationwide health data and cohorts to understand the development and course of IBD.

PREDICT attended this year’s IBD Nordic Conference. @LineaBonfils had a poster session where she presented her study validating the use of pathology codes in the Danish National Pathology Registry to identify IBD disease location, validated by the clinical NorDIBD cohort.

At today’s center meeting, we learned that we eat a lot of cake at the office! In 2024, we already celebrated 33 publications and 27 birthdays but we only ate cake 20 times. If everyone had brought cake for every birthday and publication, we would have eaten 6.5 cakes per month🍰

We are really proud to announce that our very own Associate Professor @alehins has been selected as one of the participants for @aalborg_uni's new research talent programme, AAU Excellence. A huge congratulations on this well-deserved achievement! 👏

Verena Disch and Frederikke Schomburg are currently pursuing their Master's in Human Nutrition🥦 They will spend the next six months at PREDICT, where they will conduct research aimed at expanding the understanding of the relationship between diet and IBD.

THREE NEW MASTER’S STUDENTS 🎓 We welcome Adam Asaad, Fatima Said, and Thuy-Anh Isabel Nguyen Dang, all of whom are currently pursuing their Medicine degrees. We are excited to collaborate with these talented students and look forward to supporting their academic growth 😄
