Being a journal EiC brings a new perspective on the scientific community. MHR is a reproductive biology journal and has a clear scope academic.oup.com/molehr/pages/S… This year we have had several papers submitted TOTALLY out of scope (eg on liver cancer). What is going on in these labs?

Absolutely. And much of the science education community must make more of an effort to incorporate statistics into curricula. Poor experimental design due to lack of basic stats flaws many studies.

I applaud @WorcCollegeOx ignoring A levels due to the inherent injustice in algorithm set A Level grades this year. Giving places to all offer holders is a just thing to do. The debacle was readily apparent to all and it is a pity the govt had not acted sooner.

Clarivate have just released 2019 impact factors. Molecular Human Reproduction increases its IF to 3.636 (from 3.396). Thanks to all the editorial board, reviewers and importantly authors for submitting their work to MHR. Its a good showing for all ESHRE journals 😀
