They changed their plans due to a critical mass of people catching onto their careful ways. So they will no longer do a migration. Like you said the A chain mainnet will go live and it will be a drop tab on the WebAuth app. In other words the assets /A-chain will be "automatic". They are also planning on changing things with Anchor & Greymass. Again are they are ?fearful that too many became wise about their plans to change nodes last minute? so now maybe their plan is to perhaps use another private secret node completely inaccessible to retail - or perhaps compromise key recovery on the certificate/Dapp to weed people further out. Maybe a "malicious actor" hacks the keys locking people out? In their viewpoint, too many "retailers" stormed the BG123 fortress - however they still hold the Master Switch and can manually exclude or ban accounts from a smart contract perspective. At this point i suspect there is a higher Power holding them back from their killswitch. Perhaps they received strict instructions to let some through - either because of optics, or fear of divine reprisal, or, for the simple outward appearance of legitimacy as the worlds "safe" store of value once traditional banks fail. If it was up to them no one would/could benefit from this system- but they probably weighed out a scenario where some get through whilst others dont - to save face and prevent a mass exodus from the system. After all , if the Proton OGs are not spared from a rug pulley/clawback/staged "hack"- what incentive , trust or faith could the average normie possibly have in their system moving forward ?- hence some winners are needed in this narrative. If everyone loses, they lose. They might concede the small battle of a few wealthy individuals, to win the war recruiting people into this system.
