“I’ve stolen all of these moves from these great players” - Kobe
Today’s NBA guys jump on a lame podcast and make fun of past legends. They say Wilt’s 100 was fake, mock Mike, and call past legends plumbers..
Those same players lack the depth and skill Kobe had because Kob studied the past legends and added them to his game.
He always was a student 📝

Dwyane Wade: Jordan is the best for this game, but Kobe is the master.
Chris Bosh: I knew Kobe, but I didn't know him. Played basketball against him. He's the best player ever, and he was almost untouchable.
Kyrie Irving: When I say [Kobe is] the greatest to play this game, it doesn’t mean I’m knocking anybody else, all right? The greatest to play this game to me! I don’t give a f*** what you talking about. I don’t care about your stats.”
Anthony Davis: Kobe and MJ are the two greatest players of all-time.
Kevin Durant: Kobe Bryant is the greatest of all time. His skill is second to none. Him and Michael Jordan are neck and neck as far as skill.
Dirk Nowitzki: His skill level was unbelievable. There was not one shot he didn’t have in his repertoire. So, to me, in my 20 years, he was probably the best offensive or the best player I’ve seen/faced.
Tony Allen: He pushed me past my limits, and I did the same to him. To me, that's what makes him the greatest.
Tony Parker: Maybe the closest to Michael Jordan, who I think is the best ever.
Matt Barnes: Jordan is 1, and Kobe is 1B.
Jamal Crawford: There's no list I will ever respect if Kobe Bryant isn't top 5.
Klay Thompson: He's the greatest in my eyes. He is the reason I play today.
Nate Robinson: Kobe, in my opinion, is second to MJ as the most complete player ever.
Metta: There are legends, then there are guys who are in a class of their own. Kobe is in a class of his own.
Isaiah Thomas: I'm still a Kobe guy when it comes to the GOAT conversation.

For the Kobe haters out there: If Michael Jordan is indeed the gold standard, how is the closest player to ever get to him not #2 all time, or at least in the conversation? Actually think about that. If Jordan is the perfect basketball player, wouldn't the closet thing to the perfect basketball player be the next perfect basketball player?
There's a valid argument to be made that Kobe was more skilled than Jordan, just not quite as athletic. Even if you don't believe that Kobe played against better competition, their true shooting percentages were less than 2% apart. The real only difference between their scoring average was the amount of shots Jordan took over Kobe. If you look at the average shooting percentage of their peers, Jordan wasn't really any higher than his peers, just like Kobe wasn't. Kobe's shooting percentage was actually higher than Ray Allen's, and I've never heard a single person say Ray was an inefficient chucker. You could try to make the claim that Kobe couldn't take the amount of shots Jordan did unless you've already said Kobe was a chucker. 😉
Just something to think about ♾

So Manu Ginobli feared Wade during the Finals over LeBron.
Tony Parker also stated that despite beating LeBron twice in the Finals, Kobe Bryant was the best player he's ever faced.
Bruce Bowen also has Kobe 2nd All-time ahead of Tim Duncan.
Stephen Jackson has Kobe #2.

Kwame Brown's take on Mike, Kobe and LeBron in the GOAT debate, How Allen Iverson has a lot of influence in our culture, how they know it and want to take it away from him because he has a large platform.
How these Sports Media Journalist diminish one black men to uplift another, how they don't pit White quarterbacks against each other.
"From a players standpoint, It don't matter how many stats you throw in front of us, of LeBrons and none of those things from a basketball standpoint, we know that it was Kobe & MJ, from a skill, from a read the defense, from a get to a spot, from no matter what you game plan to stop me, i'm going to overcome it and i'm going to beat you, i don't have to run you over. they can do it with more style and grace.
Did you see that game Kobe scored 81 points? That's a skill on another level, when Kobe was being guarded by Raja bell, i watch Kobe work on different thing, he watched film and meticulously studying what Raja Bell was doing to him, so that he can come up with a counter move for, that's the dedication to the game that we dont see today, especially not from most superstars.
Kobe didn't just save his body for offense, just so he can win all the stat records, Kobe could have easily took off on defense and just won every stat record you can think about, but he didn't do that, he wanted to win championships and championships only." - Kwame Brown on TicketTV's podcast on Youtube. 1/10/2024
Kwame Brown keeping it real when it come to stat padders, he definitely talking about LeBron

Stat casuals often get confused when high level pro's who played against Kobe Bryant and LeBron James still chose the Mamba. It's simple:
Foot-work: Kobe
Post-game: Kobe
Mid-range: Kobe
Three ball: Kobe
Defense: Kobe
Handles: Kobe
Clutch shot making: Kobe
Free throw: Kobe
Off ball game: Kobe
Demoralizing a defense: Kobe
Killer Mentality: Kobe
Tougher Route: Kobe
Better Rosters: LeBron
Championships: Kobe
Passer: LeBron
Slasher: LeBron
Longevity: LeBron
