VE Day service at Parish Church Bury

Today (30/04/25) Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Barton opened a Hate Crime event at Bury African & Caribbean Women's Centre (now a hate crime reporting centre). Hate Crime workshop delivered by Neighbourhood Inspector @PSAbsHussain and CSP Roy Thickett. orlo.uk/e8n9U

Residents are invited to join the Mayor of Bury in a service of commemoration and remembrance at Bury Parish Church on the evening of VE Day, Thursday 8 May. The service marks the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.

Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Barton and Neighbourhood Inspector Hussain (@PSAbsHussain) joined the 'Churches Together' Good Friday walk in Prestwich and Kersal. The walk started at St. Mary's Park and ended with a service at Tesco's Prestwich. 👮 #WeStandTogether @gmpolice

@PSAbsHussain I think it’s the amount of rain we’ve had. The failure in the greenhouse is due to being in the frozen NE. We were still using the central heating in early July.

I didn't do well this year no courgettes, no peas, no tomatoes but proud of my turnips

@PSAbsHussain Been having similar luck. Very few peas and just about everything in the greenhouse isn’t worth bothering about. On the other hand my crop of fruits has been unbelievable 30lbs+ of both blackcurrants and gooseberries.
