Made myself a no code interface for optimizing prompts with DSPy. Thought I'd open source it.

Massive response across the country to counter the hate "protests". The real Britain reasserting itself against the tiny minority trying to terrorise us. Highlights on this thread. 1/ Newcastle

Hundreds out in the west end of #Newcastle. Amazing show of support from the local community protecting refugee support services. No sign of the far right here! #Riots #Solidarity #NoPasaran #RefugeesWelcomeHere

@alexellisuk Of course. I didn't consider cluster scoped resources. Was thinking out loud how we do it, but we don't have a ban on ClusterRoles/ClusterRoleBindings either. Either way, outright banning ClusterRoles seems excessive. Interested in the reasoning.

@PSAdm How do you “Get” a namespace for metadata without a ClusterRole?

Kubernetes users.. do you still encounter policies at work or with customers that blanket ban every kind of ClusterRole? Some ClusterRoles are read-only, very limited in scope, or are scoped to specific named resources.

The problem isn’t just yaml, it’s a locally runnable runtime so you can test and debug (I know GitHub actions has this)

@kelseyhightower The change I'm happiest about is swapping cfssl for openssl 🙏 time to go through this again

@Josh__Ferrell Some ideas off the top of my head would be try applying the application set with --dry-run=server. I don't think that will actually work. The other is to create the applications with the sync policy set to manual so you can see the apps before syncing them.

Does anyone know of a way to display the rendered applications an Argo ApplicationSet will generate? @todaywasawesome maybe?

Has everyone forgotten that the HS2 route was proposed by the Conservative Liberal coalition, the project was run entirely under a Tory government, and its failure isn't because of woke, it's because of this absolute bin fire of a government?

The KLM app is an example of what happens when a corporate becomes a “not my problem” kind of company, devs focused on their assigned task, nothing more. This is the screen I get when I hit log in in the native app. It’s an unhandled 403 HTML page (??). Such poor craftsmanship.

The biggest problem with GitOps is Git. Git makes a terrible machine interface. You basically have to shell out to the git CLI because all the other git clients are incomplete and out of date. Git servers also don’t scale very well. You can only add so many polling/webhooks.

@KarlKFI Is lifecycle management problem supposed to be GitOps problem? The tools are trying their best to integrate with existing pkg managers(helm, etc) but the space is too fragmented- almost like we need a tool on top to let us create a DAG independent of pkg format.

@thockin We were originally running it in vms... But there was a massive amount of orchestration around it (we are spinning up many instances per day). LB, certs, upgrades, networking, etc... K8s on windows hasn't been without its quirks. (We are on AKS). But the last year or so v stable

@thockin I can't understate how much kubernetes on windows has made my life easier. We have a huge monolithic .net framework app that is being migrated piece by piece to more modern frameworks. But being able to run that app in k8s during the migration has made it so much more manageable

One of the hardest parts of ope-source maintainership is knowing how people use your software and which parts they use or don't. An enormous amount of energy went indo Kubernetes on Windows, and I so rarely hear of anyone using it. Tell me your thoughts?
