Met with TDs, Senators and advisors across government and opposition today as part of the Oireachtas Disability Group pre budget 2025 discussions. Highlighting cost of disability, CAMHS Intellectual Disability teams, housing and supported independent living, personalised budgets.. time to deliver on people's rights .

We note the sanction of the 39 posts on a permanent basis with interest. These posts had been filled on a temporary basis until now leading to challenges recruiting and retaining staff. We hope this is a stepping stone to better supports for children. We need to see this extended further than the limited schools currently receiving this service.

At the launch of the @Reform_of_Camhs report. Shocking statistics reflecting a broken system. Of particular note for our members, 3/4 of respondents had no access to CAMHS Intellectual Disability services. Committing to raising these issues in every forum we can. Change urgently needed. Our children deserve so much better.
