On a personal note, this will be my last time at the Vic covering Pools for the Mail. Lots of highs, some lows and plenty of memories to last a lifetime. Some exciting things around the corner, looking forward to it.

Claiming we shouldn't mine oil and gas in the UK because we won't be self sufficient is like suggesting we shouldn't produce any food because we won't be able to grow enough and would still need to import some.

I am afraid that Ian Duncan Smith simply hasn’t grasped the main issue. We will not persuade other countries to leave their fossil fuels in the ground if we try to extract every last molecule of oil and gas from the North Sea.
