Naughty Boy Vatican in 2014 Ukraine Coup
Most of what you heard about the 2014 Ukraine crisis was the usual mainstream spin: “pro-democracy protests” in Kyiv against a pro-Russian president. But when you look at who was really organizing the violence, who was on the ground, and who the key players swore allegiance to, a very different picture emerges. The evidence points straight to the Vatican and its Uniate (Greek Catholic) and Jesuit networks working to stir up the coup, push out the elected government, and suppress resurgent Russian Orthodoxy in the east. This wasn’t some organic people’s revolution — it was coordinated from the top with religious and political strings attached. Here’s the documented proof, pulled directly from the events and the people involved.
The whole thing kicked off in western Ukraine, specifically Lvov — the stronghold of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) and Roman Catholics. On 11 December 2013 the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate publicly accused the UGCC and Roman Catholic churches in Lvov of orchestrating the Euromaidan “civil disobedience.” They used priests, social media, and students from the Catholic University in Lvov to rally crowds and spread the protests nationwide. It wasn’t subtle.
Just two months later, on 17 February 2014, Roman Catholic Archbishop Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki of Lvov openly admitted: “The faithful of the Roman Catholic Church are also taking part in the demonstrations on the Maidan. They are accompanied by priests…”
On 1 March 2014, Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk, head of the UGCC, went live on national television and declared without hesitation that “military intervention has already begun” and “the entire world community is on the side of Ukraine, as Russia is the aggressor.” The Church wasn’t staying neutral — it was picking sides early and hard.
Once the coup succeeded, the religious targeting became brutal. Investigators at Russia-Insider reported that Donbas separatists were “unreservedly Orthodox Christian” and saw themselves as defenders of the faith. The new authorities in Kyiv responded with “targeted deaths” and “outrageous incidents of violence” against Orthodox clergy. Churches in Lugansk and Donetsk were deliberately shelled “in order to erase them from the face of the Earth.” The Russian-speaking east’s identity is grounded first in Orthodox principles — and that is exactly what the western Uniate forces hated most. The Saker blog documented ongoing aggression by Uniates against the Orthodox Church across western and central Ukraine, calling it a clear “political action.” Asia News journalist Nina Achmatova recorded Orthodox priests becoming “targets of deliberate attacks by Greek-rite Catholics.” Even the Moscow Patriarchate accused UGCC members of making “absurd accusations and ultimatums” while claiming the new Kyiv government backed them. On the flip side, anything Russian or Orthodox was treated as the enemy. Jesuit Ukrainian priest Fr. Nazar called Russia’s Crimea move completely illegal (despite the overwhelming local vote), and Catholic Bishop Fr. Bernacki in Odessa-Simferopol said outright: “…we all hope Western political forces will stop Putin.” The Ukrainian Catholic nuncio Archbishop Gullickson openly worried that Russian political involvement would “diminish Greek and Latin Catholic church influences nationwide.” By the end of it all, the new Ukrainian government even wrote religious discrimination into law: Orthodox property now pays 100 times more tax than any other religion on the same space.
The domestic political muscle came from the same Galician far-right scene. Right Sector and Svoboda — parties that openly see themselves as heirs to the Nazi-collaborating Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), a group with well-documented Vatican backing in the 1940s — became the street fighters of the coup. They stormed government buildings in Kyiv and western Ukraine, carried out mass violence, and later took control of the National Guard. These weren’t random nationalists; they were the armed wing that made the “peaceful protest” narrative collapse.
The man the US State Department hand-picked to become Prime Minister right after the coup was Arseniy Yatsenyuk — a declared Uniate Vatican loyalist. Barely a month after taking power, on 26 April 2014, he flew to the Vatican for closed-door meetings with priests. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov was openly bewildered why the new Ukrainian leader’s first major trip was to Rome instead of dealing with the collapsing country. The optics were not subtle.
Now look at the international side — the same pattern repeats with almost every major Western figure pushing the coup. Victoria Nuland, the US State Department official caught on leaked calls coordinating the new government, is married to Robert Kagan. Both Kagan and then-Secretary of State John Kerry are initiated “Bonesmen” of Yale’s Skull & Bones society. That society’s highest allegiance is explicitly to the Vatican’s Jesuit General in political and military matters and to the Pope as religious head. During the critical weeks of the coup Kerry made repeated personal visits to the Vatican: 11–15 January, 4–7 March, and 24–31 March 2014. US Vice-President Joe Biden was another key agitator from November 2013 right through the takeover. Biden is a lifelong staunch Catholic, educated by Jesuits in high school, and has received two honorary degrees from Jesuit universities. Republican Senator John McCain was on the ground in Kyiv from December 2013, the loudest voice demanding confrontation with Russia. McCain’s own family is steeped in Jesuit control: both his father and grandfather were high-level Freemasons, and McCain deliberately sent his own sons to Jesuit schools. Former NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen was educated at Viborg Cathedral School — a Danish institution created specifically to train men for Catholic clergy. He also attended the 2014 Bilderberg meeting. Bilderberg itself was co-founded by Vatican loyalist Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands (a Knight of Malta) and Jesuit-linked Joseph Retinger; it remains an invitation-only club under Jesuit influence. European Commission President José Manuel Barroso, who pushed the doomed EU association agreement that triggered the crisis, is a Knight of Malta. In April 2009 he publicly declared: “The European Commission shares the order of Malta’s values and mission and will do all it can to support its work.” Even CIA Director John Brennan at the time was Roman Catholic, with all his schooling and undergraduate education at Catholic institutions.
The methods used in Kyiv also carry the classic signature of Operation Gladio — the Cold War stay-behind network run by the Vatican, CIA, and NATO. Leaked phone calls (confirmed authentic by the Estonian Foreign Ministry) showed opposition leaders discussing how snipers had been hired to shoot both protesters and police to create maximum chaos and topple the government. That “strategy of tension” — indiscriminate sniper fire to justify regime change — was a Gladio hallmark going back to the 1960s “Years of Lead” in Italy. The sniper rifle was literally listed as standard equipment in Gladio arms caches. The whole $5 billion the US admitted spending on “democracy promotion” in Ukraine over the previous decade was the financial fuel, but the operational playbook and the religious motivation came from higher up the chain.
When you line up every major domestic organizer, every far-right enforcer, every hand-picked new leader, and every international cheerleader, the common thread is unmistakable: Vatican loyalty, Uniate affiliation, Jesuit education, Knight of Malta membership, or Skull & Bones allegiance to the Jesuit General. This wasn’t random geopolitics. It was a coordinated religio-political operation aimed at breaking Russian Orthodoxy’s influence in its historic heartland and installing a proxy regime in Kyiv.
The evidence is all in the public record — statements, leaked calls, tax laws, church publications, and the personal backgrounds of the actors themselves. You don’t need conspiracy theories when the players openly admit their affiliations and the pattern is this consistent.
