Dozens of Pakistanis besieged the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum on Friday, turning the area into "Athensabad" and defiantly demanding the legalization of their stay in Greece. The central figure in the mobilization was Javed Aslan, the president of the Pakistani Community in Greece, who is facing deportation, called for the legalization of cousin marriage, demanded the opening of hundreds of mosques, and is allegedly involved in running illegal mosques across Athens. The Pakistani protestors demanded the immediate reinstatement of asylum status for those who lost it and the extension of residence permits. The question that looms is whether the Ministry will succumb to the pressure from organized Pakistanis and pro-migrant organizations or whether legality and national security will finally be imposed in an Athens that resembles less and less a European capital.

Ποιους συμφέρει το σταμάτημα του λιγνίτη από την κυβέρνηση, σε αντίθεση με τη Γερμανία, Πολωνία κοκ.; Γιατί πέταξε από το παράθυρο 300 δις € περιουσία των Ελλήνων; Η Metlen του Ε. Μυτιληναίου πάντως, στην οποία ανήκουν τα Λιγνιτωρυχεία Αχλάδας ΑΕ., συνεχίζει να κερδίζει από το λιγνίτη. Πώς; Εξάγοντας 740.606 τόνους λιγνίτη στα Σκόπια, με κόστος εξόρυξης 8,82 € τον τόνο (κατά τη ΔΕΗ, με τιμές κόστους 2012 που δεν θα έχουν αλλάξει πολύ), ενώ τον πουλάει με μέση τιμή 30 € τον τόνο - οπότε κερδίζει περί τα 15 εκ. €! Αυτό συμπεραίνεται από την απάντηση σε ερώτηση μας - ενώ στην ουσία εξάγουμε λιγνίτη στα Σκόπια και εισάγουμε ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα. Οι ρύποι βέβαια του λιγνίτη από την καύση του στα Σκόπια, δεν είναι επιβαρυντικοί για το περιβάλλον - αφού φαίνεται πως σταματούν στα σύνορα τους!
