Why the EU is so weak, and what it does not fundamentally understand - Energy = prosperity. More energy = more prosperity. Since we left the trees as monkeys this has been the case. Most countries in the world already know this, or at least secure their borders, not the EU - One cannot impose the euro on various states with different fiscal policies. This will inevitable end in an implosion since for example the rich north will eventually refuse to monetize the debt of the poorer more endebted south - Total clowns, like Ursula von der Leyen, are ignorant parasites that only turn out more stupid remarks and rules. Most EU bureacrats are the same. To have an efficient state one needs efficient education of bureaucrats like in Singapore, that understand market economics and global politics, not carreer-parasites - Wokeness = a cancer. Family-values, traditions, rule of law, stable families that have kids, are crucial for long term survival of nations, especially to maintain some coherence during these already fast transformative times. Whole world is turning their backs on this madness, not the EU - De-growth = good. Absolute insanity. Civilization has to progress. Any nation understands this. Not the EU, they live in comfy illusions that de-growth is possible to save the world while other nations grow like crazy. - Strength = bad. The world is a shark-eat-shark world. Everybody understand this in the world and plays by the tough game, but not the EU, they live in an obsolete delusional model where everyone sings kumbaya and holds hands and where a large part of the population has turned into freaks that should be tolerated and loved, weakeness is celebrated, not strength - Resources are scarce. Again nonsense. The club of Rome was wrong, all predictions of peak oil were wrong, the world is awash in minerals and natural wealth, the earth´s crust filled with it. The world understand this, not the EU, who makes all kinds of rules to prevent it begin digged up or used. - Farmers are bad. Again, totally insane. Farmers are crucial to maintain food supplies, provide quality produce. Nations understand this, not the EU, they promote insane veganism and fight farmers all the time - Climate-change is an issue. Again, useless babble. Technology will adapt fast enough, the planet has heated before, there are enormous parts of the world greening thanks to more CO2, and humans will adapt, as long as again we have enough power. The whole world ignores it and prefers creating prosperity over climate-worries, not the EU Some countries are exceptions, like Poland & Hungary, they resist this madness, but still, this continent is very f**ked if this EU hydra keeps destroying everything

In 2005 werd het Europese CO2 emissierechten-handelssysteem gelanceerd. Eén jaar later verscheen de angstporno van Al Gore, The Inconvenience Truth. Al Gore richtte in 2004 Generation Investment Management op (samen met ex-Goldman Sachs-topman David Blood), een fonds dat focust op “sustainable investing”, dus beleggen in bedrijven die klimaatvriendelijk zouden zijn. Dat fonds beheert nu tientallen miljarden dollars, en Gore verdient daar als co-founder en chairman goed aan (sommige bronnen noemen bedragen rond $2 miljoen per maand in het verleden, al varieert dat). Voor de film was zijn vermogen bescheiden: rond de $1-2 miljoen (vooral familie-erfenis, land in Tennessee, etc.). Tegenwoordig schatten bronnen als Celebrity Net Worth en anderen zijn net worth op ongeveer $300 miljoen (soms zelfs hoger genoemd). BIS en Goldman Sachs c.s. (en slimme mannen/vrouwen zoals Gore) staan al te trappelen. Artikel 6 van het Klimaatakkoord van Parijs vormt de basis voor handel in CO2 en de VN (UNFCCC) registreert en ziet daar op toe. Aangezien lidstaten (en andere landen) nationale CO2 emissiereductie-handel niet fraudevrij kunnen laten plaatsvinden, greenwashing aan de orde van de dag is en deze CO2 emissierechten handel bovendien tegen exorbitante provisies plaatsvindt (ik heb zelf een aantal jaar bij de Nederlandse ‘CO2-beurs’ als interim-jurist gewerkt en dit dus ook zelf vastgesteld), kunnen we er gif op innemen dat dit wereldwijde stelsel niet beter gaat zijn. Landen zullen hun eigen (interpretatie van) regels hanteren, wat leidt tot variabele kwaliteit van toezicht. Bovendien kan de UNFCCC niet afdwingen/handhaven, alleen signaleren. Veel (ontwikkelings)landen hebben beperkte middelen voor monitoring en verificatie, wat de effectiviteit van toezicht zal beperken. Ook is de integriteit van onafhankelijke auditors cruciaal, dat in de praktijk regelmatig niet zo blijkt te zijn. Er bestaat geen wereldwijde juridische autoriteit (houden zo) om hun werk te reguleren. Goldman Sachs c.s. (lees Worst Bank Scenario) hebben inmiddels crypto-derivaten (getokeniseerde koolstofkrediet-forwards) die recht geven op deze door VN gereguleerde toekomstige emissiereducties opgetuigd en de Europese Commissie heeft in juni 2023 bij de evaluatie van de Onderpandrichtlijn voorgesteld om CO2 als onderpand voor (centrale) banken toe te staan. Er wordt dus een enorme windhandel (letterlijk en figuurlijk) opgetuigd om naast het fiat-stelsel nog een ponzi-scheme uit te rollen. Als ik voor iemand dus heel veel respect heb, is dat voor @marcelcrok. In plaats van zijn zakken te vullen met klimaatporno, brengt hij met feiten, data en keiharde analyses de klimaat-alarmhoax aan het licht. Marcel (Clintel) durft te zeggen wat velen denken: er is geen klimaatnoodtoestand.

Voor Duolingo zijn er twee opties: 1. Het bedrijf wordt compleet disrupted door AI en gaat kopje onder? Dan is iedere prijs teveel. 2. Duolingo gaat niét ten onder? Dan is het aandeel belachelijk goedkoop. Analisten verwachten ~30% omzetgroei en ~54% EPS-groei in de komende twee jaren (CAGR). Het enige wat ik wil stellen: áls $DUOL niet ten onder gaat door AI, dan is deze waardering een absoluut belachelijk buitenkansje imo.
