First Solar recently achieved a new single-junction CdTe cell efficiency record of 22.3% based on its novel CuRe technology platform. The new record, measured and certified by @NREL signals incremental conversion efficiency potential that surpasses First Solar’s prior core semiconductor record cell. Combined with expected improvements to temperature coefficient and long-term degradation, the CuRe platform is expected to improve lifetime energy entitlement by more than 6%. #LifetimeEnergy #FirstSolar
