Early Wednesday morning, federal agents in Ventura, California raided the homes of Leo Martinez and other volunteers with community watchdog group VC Defensa. Last year agents rammed Martinez’s vehicle while he was documenting an ICE operation. Cell phone video of that crash went viral, and seven months later, the federal government came to his door. Coordinator of VC Defensa Lainy Yompian joined The Freedom Side Live for the organization's first public comment since the raids.

I am horrified by the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, an apparent act of anti-Muslim violence. Islamophobia endangers Muslim communities across this country. We must confront it directly and stand together against the politics of fear and division. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community grieving this devastating attack. The NYPD is increasing deployments to mosques across the city out of an abundance of caution. There are currently no known threats to NYC houses of worship.

8 years ago, Trump ripped up the JCPOA — a deal that prevented Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Now, this regime has chosen Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, neither of whom has relevant experience, to try to negotiate the same deal Trump killed in 2018. It's ridiculous.
