I dislike the phrase “behavior problem” when referring to challenging kids. Behaviors aren’t usually the problem. They are solutions they pick to problems. IE... kid calls out inappropriately = needy for attention / connection. Focus on what’s driving the behavior. #thatonekid

Yes! Your perception of “big deal” and “little deal” could be totally different then the children in your care. They have a right to perceive those “things” however they need to. It’s our job to support and teach them skills to successfully function with the “baggage” they bring.
