Add The New York Times on Google The Federal Aviation Administration said on Thursday that it was investigating after a helicopter flew in front of a commercial plane in California. The near miss came several days after the agency suspended the use of visual separation between airplanes and helicopters near busy airports.United Airlines Flight 589 was approaching John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif., on Tuesday around 8:40 p.m. when a Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter crossed its path, the F.A.A. said in a statement. The agency said it was looking into whether visual separation was used during the incident. Last week, the F.A.A. began requiring air traffic controllers to actively manage the flight paths taken by helicopters and commercial planes around busy airports. The announcement ended a common practice known as visual separation, which allows the pilots of helicopters and smaller planes to manage their own way through crowded skies. It reduced the workload of tightly staffed control towers but forced pilots to rely only on what they could see to avoid collisions. The suspension came more than a year after an Army Black Hawk helicopter crashed into American Airlines Flight 5342 near Reagan National Airport in Washington, killing all 67 people aboard both aircraft. The pilots of the helicopter had been granted permission to use visual separation minutes before the collision. The helicopter involved in the incident on Tuesday was a U.S. Army aircraft, according to Flightradar24, which tracks flight paths. The Army did not immediately respond to a request for comment. In a statement, United Airlines said that air traffic controllers had advised the pilots on Flight 589 to watch for a military helicopter flying near the airport. The pilots saw the helicopter and received a traffic alert, then responded by leveling the aircraft instead of continuing its descent, the statement said. The plane, which was carrying 162 passengers and six crew members, landed safely, the airline said. The incident came in the same week that an airport fire truck drove across the runway as Air Canada Express Flight 8646 was landing at LaGuardia Airport in New York late Sunday. A preliminary investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board found that overlapping staffing and technology failures had caused the collision, which killed both pilots of the plane.Editors’ Picks Francesca Regalado is a Times reporter covering breaking news. Add The New York Times on Google A new Army weapon emerged from relative obscurity after one struck a sports hall and school in southern Iran early in the U.S.-Israeli war, according to weapons experts and a visual analysis by The New York Times.Local officials cited in Iranian media said the strike and others nearby killed at least 21 people, including young girls playing volleyball. That weapon is the Precision Strike Missile, or PrSM (pronounced like “prism”). The PrSM is barely out of the prototype phase, and the Army has not yet created an entry for it in the military’s supply system or given it an official nomenclature — much less disclosed details like its maximum range, its accuracy or the amount of explosives it carries. Here is what we know about it. When was the Precision Strike Missile developed? The PrSM debuted just four months after the demise of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty in 2019. It would have been banned under that treaty, which prohibited the United States and Russia from fielding ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles capable of ranges between 311 and 3,420 miles. The missile finished its prototype testing and entered low-rate production less than a year ago. It will replace the Army’s ATACMS missile, which was developed in the 1980s and could strike targets about 190 miles away. The PrSM is expected to fly more than twice as far. Who makes it? Lockheed Martin makes the PrSM at a facility in Camden, Ark. According to a news release, the company has 115,000 square feet of factory space and 400 employees devoted to its production. Want to stay updated on what’s happening in the Middle East? Sign up for Your Places: Global Update, and we’ll send our latest coverage to your inbox. How many of them have been made? The exact number is not publicly known. On March 10, a spokeswoman for Lockheed referred questions about the number of PrSMs it has delivered to the Army. The Army declined to provide any data on its inventory or production rate. How much has the Pentagon spent on them so far? In September 2022, the Pentagon announced it was purchasing 54 of the new missiles for $77.4 million, or about $1.4 million each. In the 2023 fiscal year budget, the Army requested an additional $472 million to purchase 120 more of them. Lockheed announced it had delivered the first operational Precision Strike Missiles to the Army in December 2023. Months later, the company received an additional $219 million from the Defense Department for the weapon. Editors’ Picks 📷How a ‘Dexter’ Star Is Singing Her Way Through Spanish Harlem 📷A Coach, Mechanic or Housekeeper, but for Your Finances 📷Four Years After I Had Last Been Touched, I Wrote Myself Back to Life And in March 2025, it was awarded $5 billion more. Where have they been tested? A prototype of the Precision Strike Missile was first launched at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in December 2019. Since then, 12 additional test launches have been conducted in New Mexico and California. The most recent test was announced on March 12. How are they launched? Two Precision Strike Missiles are carried in a nearly identical pod.Credit...Sgt. 1St Class Andrew Dickson/U.S. Army, via Associated Press The missiles are packed in containers commonly called “pods” that each contain two PrSMs. The Cold War-era M270 vehicle, which is based on the Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle and runs on tracks, can carry two pods at a time — for a total of four Precision Strike Missiles. The newer M142 HIMARS, a lighter-weight six-wheeled truck, can carry just one pod at a time. How have they been used in the war with Iran? On Feb. 28, U.S. Central Command, which directs military operations in the Middle East, showcased some of the weapons used during the first 24 hours of the war with Iran — one of which was a PrSM being launched from a HIMARS vehicle in an apparently desert environment. Central Command said the PrSMs were part of a barrage of munitions that were fired from outside the range of Iran’s defensive weapons. Immediately after firing, the vehicles typically drive to another location to avoid potential enemy counterattacks and then reload. It is unclear where U.S. forces have launched PrSM missiles from during the war, although U.S.-made HIMARS vehicles have launched short-range ballistic missiles from Bahrain into Iran. And a HIMARS unit from the Wisconsin National Guard is currently deployed to Kuwait. A Precision Strike Missile launched at Iran from a HIMARS vehicle.Credit...US Central Command (Centcom) via Agence France-Presse How important is this missile to the Pentagon? Based on the dollar amounts of contracts signed between the Defense Department and Lockheed, it appears to be very important to the Pentagon’s future war plans. On Wednesday, the Pentagon announced it had entered into an agreement with Lockheed to accelerate production of PrSMs “on a wartime footing.” The same day, the company said that agreement and the $5 billion contract that preceded it would allow Lockheed to “quadruple PrSM production capacity.” Lockheed plans to develop four different PrSM “increments,” or variants, which the company has said will increase the missile’s maximum range and eventually give it the ability to hit moving objects, including ships at sea. Tuesday 31 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ Source: newsweek*com What To Know: 🔴Trump claimed “great progress” in talks with Tehran but warned he would target Iranian power plants, oil facilities and possibly desalination sites if negotiations failed. Iran publicly denied substantive talks with the United States and rejected Washington’s conditions as unreasonable. The war continues to widen across the Middle East, driving up global oil and gas prices and eroding Trump’s political support at home. Trump has alternated between narrowing his goals — saying “regime change” is already achieved — and escalating militarily, sending thousands more U.S. troops, including Marines and Special Operations Forces, to the region. Trump said Iran agreed to allow 20 additional oil cargo ships through the Strait of Hormuz, where Tehran’s blockade has choked a critical global shipping route. Two Chinese-owned commercial vessels passed through the strait Monday, a possible sign of easing restrictions, before Trump renewed threats to strike Iran’s energy infrastructure. Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey met in Islamabad for talks on ending the war; the U.S., Israel and Iran were absent, and progress remains unclear. In Lebanon, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered forces to expand control in the south, heightening fears of a long-term occupation. Two U.N. peacekeepers were killed in southern Lebanon when their convoy was hit by an explosion; another peacekeeper from Indonesia died a day earlier amid clashes between Israel and Hezbollah. newsweek.com/iran-war-live-… ================== Coordinated Universal Time time.is/UTC National Institute of Standard: --NIST (US) time.gov Gray line or Terminator that shows the division between day and night on the map. pskreporter.info/pskmap.html Epstein Fury*net: epsteinfury.net Zionists in their own words: Quotes> People Quotes organized by person zionism.observer/database

Tuesday 31 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ Source:rt*com 🔴Attack on Kuwait plant highlights Middle East’s critical vulnerability The US-Israeli war on Iran risks a region-wide freshwater crisis if desalination infrastructure is compromised Published 30 Mar, 2026 13:06 | Updated 30 Mar, 2026 16:49 Kuwait has accused Iran of carrying out a “heinous attack” on one of its combined power and desalination plants on Sunday. Like much of the Middle East, the nation depends heavily on industrial production to meet its freshwater needs. What happened? The purported Iranian strike killed one worker – an Indian national – and caused extensive damage to a service building, according to Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat, spokeswoman for Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. The authorities have not disclosed which facility was struck or whether electricity or water production has been disrupted. The spokeswoman said emergency teams are still assessing the damage and urged residents to ignore speculation. — Egypt's Intel Observer (@EGYOSINT) March 30, 2026NASA’s Fire Information for Resource Management System detected multiple heat signatures indicating fires at the Sabiya West thermal power plant in Kuwait.Earlier today, Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity said an Iranian attack targeted a service building at one of the country’s… https: //t.co/GrLmg5hMyhpic.twitter.com/2IBxyoj3Mq Tehran has not responded to the accusations. However, Iranian media reported a fire at the Sabiya Power Plant detected by NASA satellites, mistakenly identifying it as the Doha West facility – another combined power and desalination plant located roughly 50 km away. How crucial is the Sabiya facility? Kuwait operates six government-owned thermal plants that produce both electricity and desalinated water. The Sabiya plant, launched in 1998 and expanded multiple times, with the most recent upgrade announced last year, generates about 5,300 megawatts of electricity per hour and produces roughly 340,000 cubic meters of water daily, according to official data. For comparison, the country’s largest single water producer, the Al-Zour South plant, has a capacity of about 670,000 cubic meters per day. When did the Middle East become dependent on desalination? Water scarcity is a defining challenge across the region, but Kuwait is particularly constrained. According to UN data, it has access to just 4 cubic meters of naturally renewable freshwater per person annually – compared to 296 cubic meters in relatively water-rich Oman. Modern living standards require around 1,700 cubic meters per person each year, accounting for all needs from quenching thirst to growing food. 📷 Saudi leader ‘kissing my ass’ – Trump (VIDEO)Read more Desalination supplies a large share of drinking water – ranging from about 42% in the UAE to nearly 99% in Qatar. Industrial operations such as data centers and petrochemical facilities further drive demand. Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries began heavily investing in desalination after the 1979 oil crisis created a significant surplus of wealth. While thermal desalination remains important, seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) – which uses membranes to remove salt – has become the dominant technology. Today, more than 3,400 desalination plants operate across the Gulf, producing over 22 million cubic meters of water daily – about one-third of global capacity, according to a study published in Nature Clean Water in January. Have water facilities been targeted before? The region’s reliance on desalination, combined with limited water storage – especially in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar – makes these systems highly sensitive to disruption. Major damage can quickly escalate into a humanitarian emergency. 📷 Praying for violence: All the ‘holy’ reasoning behind the US-Israeli war on Iran (RT VIDEO)Read more The US-Israeli regime change war against Iran has already seen incidents affecting critical infrastructure. Debris from intercepted Iranian drones and missiles reportedly caused unintended damage at the UAE’s Fujairah F1 plant and Kuwait’s Doha West facility. Iran has also accused the US of striking its desalination plant on Qeshm Island, saying the attack threatened water supplies for 30 villages. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called it a precedent and “a dangerous move with grave consequences.” The following day, Bahrain reported that an Iranian drone hit one of its desalination sites, though water production was not affected. The incidents coincided with a major emergency in Tehran after Israeli strikes hit oil storage sites. Residents in the Iranian capital reported breathing difficulties due to toxic smoke, while environmental groups also raised concerns about potential groundwater contamination. 📷 Iran accuses UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia of enabling US attacksRead more US President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to obliterate Iranian civilian infrastructure, including water plants, as he claims to be seeking a negotiated capitulation of Tehran. What about earlier conflicts? During the 1991 Gulf War, Iraqi forces damaged Kuwaiti water facilities before being driven out by US-led forces. Offshore oil spills – believed to have been deliberate – also threatened filtration desalination intake systems, which are more vulnerable to pollutants than their thermal counterparts. Kuwait was forced to impose water rationing and import supplies. In Yemen, Saudi-led military operations in the 2010s included strikes on desalination facilities. Meanwhile, Iran-aligned Houthi forces targeted Saudi plants with missile attacks in 2019 and 2022. More recently, Israel’s military campaign in Gaza following the 2023 Hamas attack caused widespread damage to civilian infrastructure, including desalination systems. ================ Coordinated Universal Time time.is/UTC National Institute of Standard: --NIST (US) time.gov Gray line or Terminator that shows the division between day and night on the map. pskreporter.info/pskmap.html Epstein Fury*net: epsteinfury.net Zionists in their own words: Quotes> People Quotes organized by person zionism.observer/database

Monday 30 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ 🔴Gerald R. Ford out of commission for one year: What’s wrong with America’s most advanced carrier? The vessel experienced a devastating “laundry fire” during the US-Israeli attack on Iran and is now expected to undergo lengthy repairs Published 30 Mar, 2026 21:27 | Updated 30 Mar, 2026 22:30 📷 A view of the American aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford in Split, Croatia, on March 29, 2026. ©  Getty Images / Anadolu / Samir Jordamovic The nuclear-powered USS Gerald R. Ford, the most advanced aircraft carrier in the United States Navy and the only vessel in its class, is presently anchored in Croatia’s port of Split for repairs ‌and maintenance. Media reports have indicated the ship is there to stay, since repairs after a major “laundry fire” and prolonged deployment could take between 12 and 14 months. Delivered years behind schedule in May 2017, the Ford was by far the most expensive American warship ever constructed, costing $13.2 billion. The latest prolonged deployment of the ship began on June 24 and included combat operations during the US raid on Venezuela to kidnap President Nicolas Maduro, as well as in the ongoing US-Israeli attack on Iran. The supercarrier ended up hastily withdrawn from the Middle East theater in mid-March, having suffered a supposedly non-combat-related fire. The ship briefly moored at Crete for damage assessment before heading to Croatia for maintenance. Laundry fire? The deployment exceeded 260 days and ranks as one of the longest carrier patrols since the Vietnam War, ending on March 12 shortly after the ship transited the Suez Canal and entered the Red Sea. According to official statements from US Central Command, it was then that the vessel “experienced a fire that originated in the ship’s main laundry spaces.” “The cause of the fire was not combat-related and is contained. There is no damage to the ship’s propulsion plant, and the aircraft carrier remains fully operational. Two sailors are currently receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and are in stable condition,” CENTCOM stated at the time. 📷 READ MORE: Details emerge of damage to US Navy’s largest warship after fire The incident prompted a range of speculation, with the Iranian military claiming the carrier’s laundry room was deliberately set on fire by war-weary crewmembers. Western media reports indicated the fire raged on board for some 30 hours before being extinguished – longer than the devastating 1967 USS Forrestal carrier fire, which burned for about 24 hours. If true, it raises questions about the state of supposedly sophisticated firefighting systems on the Ford, particularly given that the Forrestal fire was aggravated by explosions of munitions stored on the flight deck and burning fuel seeping into compartments. More than 600 out of nearly 4,500 sailors, tech personnel, and pilots lost their bunks in the fire, ending up forced to sleep on tables and floors, the New York Times reported, citing anonymous crewmembers. Moreover, the crew has been unable to do laundry since the fire, which reportedly ended up being airlifted to other ships for washing. Damage assessment Upon arrival in Crete last weekend, the aircraft carrier appeared to show no superficial signs of damage, apart from looking heavily weathered from its prolonged deployment all over the globe. The ship’s flight deck, however, appeared to be abnormally crowded with aircraft, potentially indicating issues with internal hangars and aircraft-lifting mechanisms. USS Gerald R. Ford arrives in Souda Bay on March 23, 2026 in Souda, Greece. ©  Getty Images / Carl Court A recent assessment from the Pentagon testing office indicated that the military was somewhat aware of deeper problems with the Ford class, but even nine years after the vessel was commissioned, it still had “insufficient data” to determine its “operational suitability.” USS Gerald R. Ford arrives in Souda, Greece on March 23, 2026. ©  Getty Images / Carl Court The report also raised concerns about the reliability of key systems, including the radar, jet aircraft launch and recovery systems, and its lifting mechanisms for aircraft and munitions, as well as the general ability of the vessel to continue operations in case of combat damage. The assessment also noted that the ship was short at least 159 bunks to properly accommodate the crew, with the issue potentially getting even more severe should more aircraft be added to the carrier’s air wing. The lack of sleeping space could negatively affect the morale of the crew on lengthy deployments, the testing office noted. Plumbing woes Prior to the Red Sea fire, the most notorious technical issue with the Ford was its faulty toilet system, with repeated fecal overflow reported on board the state-of-the-art carrier. 📷 READ MORE: America’s Gulf war machine: What we know about the US military network in the Middle East The vessel is known to have so-called “eco-toilets” installed that rely on a vacuum collection, holding, and transfer (VCHT) system, originating in the cruise ship industry. The technology turned out to be not exactly Navy-grade, being prone to clogging and requiring heavy maintenance. Numerous photos and videos believed to be taken on board the ship and circulating online show toilets overflowing with fecal matter, murky waters spreading across compartments and unlucky sailors on latrine duty attempting to clean up the mess. The issue with the toilets, said to affect some 600 units on the ship, has persisted for years. A 2020 report from the General Accountability Office indicated the faulty system required “onerous” extra daily maintenance to unclog narrow pipes while each “acid flush” of the system needed when it ended up clogged completely incurred an additional $400,000 in costs instead of being eco-friendly and cost-effective. Broader implications for the Navy? 📷 READ MORE: Iran claims it forced US aircraft carrier to retreat Should the Ford stay out of commission for months, it is bound to put further strain on US strike groups, likely leading to longer deployments for older Nimitz-class carriers. The US Navy currently has 11 active-duty carriers, including the Ford, but it is rare for more than six to be deployed simultaneously. The maiden vessel of the older series, the USS Nimitz, is presumably on its last deployment, since it is scheduled to be decommissioned next year and replaced by the Ford-class USS John F. Kennedy. Given the repeated delays and apparent issues with the Ford-class, however, the decommissioning could be postponed. Another Nimitz-class ship, the USS John C. Stennis, is likely to spend most of the year in port. The carrier has been undergoing its mid-life Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH) since 2021, a years-long process costing billions of dollars. The Stennis was originally scheduled to undergo its RCOH by August last year, but the deadline was missed and extended by 14 months.

Monday 30 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ 🔴NATO member closes airspace to US planes involved in Iran war Spain has barred its skies and bases to American bombers after criticizing the Middle East campaign as illegal Published 30 Mar, 2026 21:27 | Updated 30 Mar, 2026 22:30 📷 B-1 Lancer Bomber. © Getty Images / Anadolu / Contributor Spain has shut its airspace to aircraft linked to the US-Israeli war on Iran, deepening a rift with Washington over the month-long conflict sweeping the Middle East. On Monday, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said that aircraft taking part in operations against Iran will not be allowed to operate in Spanish airspace, including US jets based in other NATO countries such as the UK or France. Madrid had already barred the use of the jointly operated Rota and Moron de la Frontera bases in southern Spain for strike missions. Robles told reporters that Spain would not “participate in or contribute to a war that was initiated unilaterally and against international law,” echoing Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who branded the US-Israeli campaign an “illegal, reckless and unjust war.” Around 15 US KC-135 tanker aircraft have been relocated to bases in France and Germany, Spanish media reported. With Spain’s airspace off-limits, long-range B-52 and B-1 bombers operating from the UK’s Fairford airbase must now fly longer routes, reducing operational efficiency and forcing trade-offs between fuel and payload. Madrid’s decision, first reported by El Pais, is the most significant public break with Washington by a major Western ally since the 2003 Iraq invasion, when Spain allowed US use of its territory despite domestic opposition, the newspaper wrote. Spain has been among the most outspoken EU countries in opposing the Iran war, withdrawing its ambassador from Israel and downgrading diplomatic relations. Sanchez has repeatedly urged an end to hostilities, warning last week that it could have “much worse” consequences than the campaign in Iraq. Spain’s defiance has drawn criticism from US President Donald Trump, who has threatened trade measures and recalled Madrid’s failure to meet NATO’s 5% defense spending target. While closing its airspace and bases for missions against Iran, Spain says it remains committed to its broader NATO obligations and continues cooperation within the military alliance and the EU on other security issues. US military aircraft can still use Spain’s facilities under existing bilateral agreements for logistics and support for some 80,000 American troops based in Europe. rt.com/news/636779-sp… ================ Coordinated Universal Time time.is/UTC National Institute of Standard: --NIST (US) time.gov Gray line or Terminator that shows the division between day and night on the map. pskreporter.info/pskmap.html Epstein Fury*net: epsteinfury.net Zionists in their own words: Quotes> People Quotes organized by person zionism.observer/database

US lawmaker warns over Plateau, Kaduna killings US lawmaker warns over Plateau, Kaduna killings Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State being received by residents during his visit to the scene of the deadly attack on Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area, where he commiserated with bereaved families. —Says continued killing of Christians could strain US-Nigeria relations —Terrorists kill 40 in Plateau, Kaduna attacks By Omeiza Ajayi, John Alechenu & Golok Nanmwa United States congressman, Riley Moore,  warned yesterday that continued attacks on Christians in Nigeria could strain diplomatic relations with the US, following reports of a deadly Palm Sunday killings in Jos, Plateau State, and Kaduna State. Recall that no fewer than 40 persons were killed by gunmen suspected to be terrorists on Sunday night at  Angwa Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and Kahir village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. While 27 were killed at Rukuba community in Plateau, 13 wedding guests were mowed down by the attackers in Kaduna. The police in Plateau, however, said only 14 persons were killed in the attack that marred Palm Sunday in the community. This came as the University of Jos, UNIJOS yesterday rescheduled examinations earlier scheduled for the day and today as a result of the attack, as Plateau State chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, described the deadly attack as a major setback to peace efforts in the state. Reacting to the killings in a post on X yesterday, Moore condemned the reported killing of Christians in Anguwan Rukuba, describing the incident as part of a troubling pattern of violence targeting worshippers during religious observances. The congressman, who was part of a United States fact-finding delegation on alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, added that such attacks had become frequent during Christian holy days, urging Nigerian authorities to take decisive action to prevent further bloodshed. “This Palm Sunday, reports from Nigeria indicate that at least 10 Christians were martyred in the city of Jos. Radical Islamic terrorists opened fire on the Christians before hacking them to pieces with machetes. This is sickening and unacceptable, but it’s not surprising. Related News Jos Attack: Senator Natasha demands action from Defence Minister Lalong condemns Jos attack, calls for swift justice Attack on Police: CP, Osun community differ over chiefs, others' arrests “This tragedy follows a pattern of radical Islamic terrorists massacring Christians on Holy Days. In fact, terrorists have attacked Christians in Nigeria on every single holy day in recent memory, except for last Christmas when President Trump sent 12 tomahawk cruise missiles to stop them,” he added. Moore called on the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, to urgently strengthen security measures ahead of upcoming religious events. “Abuja knows this pattern and they must massively ramp up security for the Tridduum and Easter. If they don’t take this threat seriously and mobilise to defend our brothers and sisters in Christ, blood of these martyrs will be on their hands, and there will be significant consequences for Nigeria’s relationship with the United States,” he warned. Meanwhile, the attackers of the Plateau community, said to be in large numbers, stormed the densely populated community at about 7:30 pm on Palm Sunday and opened sporadic fire on residents, throwing the area into panic. Mr. Dalyop Mwantiri, President of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, BYM, who confirmed the casualty figure to Vanguard yesterday, said 14 victims were killed on the spot, while 13 others died later in the hospital. Mwantiri condemned the attack, describing it as another sad episode in the recurring security challenges facing communities in the state. He urged the relevant authorities to ensure the perpetrators were apprehended and brought to justice without delay. The latest violence comes amid heightened tensions in parts of Plateau State, with residents calling for improved security measures to prevent further bloodshed. Consequently, Plateau State government imposed a 48-hour curfew on Jos North Local Government Area, following the tragic incident. In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Joyce Ramnap, the government strongly condemned the “barbaric and unprovoked attack” on innocent citizens. Governor Caleb Mutfwang assured residents that all necessary measures were being taken to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The statement urged citizens to remain calm, stay vigilant, and cooperate fully with security agencies by providing any useful information that might aid ongoing investigations. Residents were also advised to adhere strictly to the curfew directive to enable security operatives  carry out their duties effectively and prevent any further breakdown of law and order. 14 killed in Plateau attack, say police But countering the community on the death toll in a statement yesterday, Plateau State police command has confirmed that 14 people were killed in the attack. The university in a statement yesterday by its Deputy Registrar, Information and Public Relations, Emmanuel Madugu, said:  “The Vice Chancellor has directed that all examinations scheduled to hold on Monday (yesterday) and Tuesday (today) will be rescheduled. “This is in view of the Sunday night attack by gunmen on residents of Angwan Rukuba and the consequential tensions it has generated in and around the area.’’ He urged staff and students to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary movements. Madugu also advised students to report any security breaches to the university’s security unit. Angwan Rukuba attack setback to Plateau peace efforts – JNI Reacting to the development yesterday, Plateau State chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI, in a statement, condemned the attack, describing it as “barbaric, senseless and a grave threat to peace and coexistence” in Plateau. The group stressed that the sanctity of human life must never be violated under any circumstance, adding that it was “deeply pained by the magnitude of this tragedy” and declared that such acts of violence were unacceptable and must be condemned by all well-meaning Nigerians. The Muslim body extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased, while wishing speedy recovery to those injured. The group appealed to residents across the state to remain calm and law-abiding, warning against any form of retaliation or self-help that could further inflame the already tense situation. ‘’At this critical moment, we urge all citizens to exercise restraint.   We must not allow anger and grief to push us into actions that could worsen the situation,” JNI stated. The group called on security agencies, including the police and military, to immediately launch a thorough, transparent and impartial investigation into the incident. It stated further:  “It is imperative that the security agencies leave no stone unturned in uncovering the circumstances surrounding this attack. ‘’Justice must not only be done but must be seen to be done to restore public confidence and prevent future occurrences.’’ JNI further urged the government, community leaders and religious stakeholders to intensify efforts towards peace-building, dialogue and reconciliation across affected communities. The body reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence, unity and justice in Plateau State and Nigeria at large. 13 killed as bandits open fire on wedding guests in Kaduna Terrorists on Sunday night killed 13 persons and abducted an unspecified number of guests after attacking a wedding ceremony at Kahir village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State. A resident of the area, Shehu Bala, told Vanguard yesterday that the attack occurred at about 11:47pm on Sunday. He said the attackers, armed with AK-47 rifles, stormed the wedding venue in large numbers and opened fire inside the hall, killing 13 persons on the spot. According to him, several other guests sustained varying degrees of gunshot injuries and were rushed to Kagarko General Hospital, while two victims with serious injuries were referred to Kaduna for further treatment. “There are two of my friends who were inside the hall during the attack and they were also hit by bullets,” he said. Bala added that it was difficult to determine the number of persons abducted due to the chaos that followed the attack. A community leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, also confirmed the incident and listed the names of those killed. He said the attackers operated for nearly an hour without resistance and also looted shops in the community, carting away food items, provisions and drugs from a chemist. “The entire community was thrown into confusion as residents fled into the bush due to the sporadic shooting,” he said. The spokesperson of Kaduna State police command, DSP Hassan Mansur, also confirmed the attack, saying the number of abducted persons was still being verified. He said a comprehensive report would be issued once details were obtained. “The command is yet to get details of the incident that happened in Kahir community, but a comprehensive report on the incident will made available after getting details of the incident,” he said. Security operatives have since launched a search operation to track the fleeing attackers and rescue the abducted victims. It was also gathered that the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, and Senator Sani Musa visited injured victims receiving treatment at the Kagarko General Hospital. Several communities, including Janjala, have remained under sustained attacks by bandits. In one of the incidents, 14 people, including a vigilante and his wife, were abducted about three weeks ago and are still in captivity. The abductors are reportedly demanding N14 million as ransom for their release. MBF wants citizens armed, accuses DSS Director of intimidation In a similar development, the Middle Belt Forum, MBF, yesterday urged the Federal Government to liberalise access to basic self-defence weapons for citizens, accusing the Director of the Department of State Services, DSS, in one of the Middle Belt states of intimidation and harassment. MBF spokesman, Luka Binniyat, who made the call, argued that citizens facing persistent attacks should be allowed lawful and affordable access to simple defensive tools under a regulated system. The group cited the case of House of Representatives aspirant, Terry Tsala, who was allegedly arrested and pressured to admit to attempting to procure hunting rifles, despite claiming he only sought to acquire a locally made hunting gun from a licensed manufacturer. MBF maintained that hunting guns were not illegal when properly obtained, referencing Section 33 of the Constitution, which guaranteed the right to life and allowed citizens to take reasonable steps to defend themselves. “It is contradictory to encourage citizens to act as the first line of defence while arresting them for seeking lawful means of protection,” the statement said, referencing remarks by the Director-General of the DSS, Adeola Ajayi. The forum described the DSS action against Tsala as part of a broader pattern of intimidation aimed at discouraging vulnerable communities from defending themselves despite ongoing attacks. It further alleged that the Middle Belt state in question had become a staging ground for attacks on neighbouring states, including Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Kogi, and parts of Kaduna, leaving many communities exposed. The MBF also criticised security agencies for allegedly disarming local populations, even after they repelled attacks, while perpetrators remained free. While calling for urgent government action, the group urged authorities to establish a supervised system that would enable the mass production and lawful distribution of basic self-defence tools at affordable cost. The forum also said it was willing to cooperate with the United States and other international stakeholders by providing information on individuals allegedly involved in violence in the Middle Belt. Northern govs back Tinubu’s security strategy for region Meanwhile, governors of the 19 Northern states have formally reaffirmed their “steadfast commitment” to President Bola Tinubu’s security and developmental agenda, pledging a unified front to neutralizse evolving threats across the region. In a communique issued after their meeting at Gombe State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, yesterday, the Northern States Governors’ Forum, NSGF, expressed confidence in the Federal Government’s approach to national stability. The forum, chaired by Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, emphasised that the collective security of the north was inextricably linked to the success of the President’s “critical national assignment.” The governors stated:  “The Forum reaffirms its steadfast commitment to continuing its support for the Federal Government, under the able leadership of President Bola Tinubu in effectively countering evolving security threats. “The Forum is dedicated to ensuring that lasting peace and security are firmly established throughout the region and the entire country.’’ They also noted significant progress in regional collaboration, adding that their “unified efforts” in addressing developmental challenges were “already producing positive outcomes.” To sustain the momentum, the NSGF resolved to institutionalise these gains through a more robust administrative framework and the complete digitisation of the NSGF Secretariat. The governors applauded ongoing efforts toward “institutional strengthening,” aimed at creating a foundation that “enhances coordination, ensures continuity, and improves the capacity of Northern States for strategic engagement and policy implementation.” vanguardngr.com/2026/03/us-law… ============ Coordinated Universal Time time.is/UTC National Institute of Standard: --NIST (US) time.gov Gray line or Terminator that shows the division between day and night on the map. pskreporter.info/pskmap.html Epstein Fury*net: epsteinfury.net Zionists in their own words: Quotes> People Quotes organized by person zionism.observer/database

Monday 30 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ Source: PressTV*ir Any ‘provocative act’ in Strait of Hormuz will further complicate situation: Iran FM Monday, 30 March 2026 6:51 PM [ Last Update: Monday, 30 March 2026 6:51 PM ] Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi of Iran has warned that any act of provocation by the aggressors and their supporters, including at the United Nations Security Council, regarding the Strait of Hormuz will only lead to further complications of the situation. In a phone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot on Monday, Araghchi said the military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran is the root cause of insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz. “This waterway is closed to vessels belonging to the parties involved in the military aggression against Iran, and the decision has been made in accordance with the principles of international law to prevent the aggressors from exploiting the Strait of Hormuz to carry out unlawful attacks against Iran.” “The passage of vessels belonging to other countries is underway in coordination with competent Iranian authorities,” the Iranian foreign minister said. The United States and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked aggression against Iran by assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders, on February 28. Iran has carried out extensive and decisive retaliatory attacks on US assets in the region and on locations in the Israeli-occupied territories since the very first day of the US-Israeli aggression. Iran has also taken full control of transit through the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, pushing up international energy and commodity prices. The Iranian foreign minister outlined the crimes committed by the United States and the Israeli regime during the current military aggression. Araghchi censured positions taken by certain European countries in merely expressing concern over the economic consequences of the imposed war while remaining silent on the brutal attacks by the aggressors against the Iranian people. He reiterated Iran’s determination to continue its defensive operations against the aggressors, including attacks on their military bases and facilities stationed in the region. “The reason behind Iran’s defensive operations in the region is the use of the US from the territory, bases, and facilities based in these countries to conduct an illegal war against Iran.” The French foreign minister, for his part, reaffirmed his country’s opposition to the imposed war against Iran and attacks on non-military targets. Barrot also expressed concern over the exacerbation of tensions in the region, including in Lebanon, and underscored the need to strengthen political and diplomatic efforts to find a solution to end the war and restore stability and security to the region. Monday 30 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ Source: 🔴‘War crime’: Iran’s aviation condemns US-Israeli attack on civilian plane carrying medicines Monday, 30 March 2026 6:48 PM [ Last Update: Monday, 30 March 2026 6:48 PM ] Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) has condemned in the strongest terms a US-Israeli attack on a civilian aircraft carrying medicines and medical equipment sent by other countries to the Islamic Republic. In a statement released on Monday, the organization said the strike targeted the plane on the tarmac at Mashhad’s airport. Attacks on civilian aircraft in humanitarian missions are a flagrant violation of international aviation rules and contradict the principles of international humanitarian law. “Based on 1944 Chicago and 1971 Montreal conventions, any action against the safety of civilian aircraft is tantamount to international criminal acts in the aviation industry,” Iran’s CAO said. “Under Article 52 of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions, an attack on civilian targets, including planes carrying humanitarian aid, amounts to a war crime.” The aviation organization also called on international institutions to prosecute the perpetrators, and prevent the repetition of such threats against civil aviation. The United States and Israel launched their illegal act of aggression against Iran on February 28 by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with senior military commanders, in flagrant breach of the country’s sovereignty. The enemies have deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure across Iran, including schools, hospitals and airports, killing hundreds of Iranian people. The Iranian armed forces have responded decisively by launching daily missile and drone operations targeting locations in the Israeli-occupied territories as well as US military bases and assets across the region. Monday 30 March 2026: #Breaking_News The World Clock — Worldwide timeanddate.com/worldclock/ 🔴IRGC hits US-Israeli pilot hideouts, drone hangers in 87th wave of reprisal attacks Monday, 30 March 2026 12:53 PM [ Last Update: Monday, 30 March 2026 2:30 PM ] The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it has hit American-Israeli command centers, drone hangars, and pilot hideouts in new missile strikes on their military installations in the region. In a statement, the IRGC said the targets were hit using ballistic missiles as part of the 87th wave of Operation True Promise 4. The IRGC public relations office said that Iranian ballistic missiles, including liquid- and solid-fuel variants of Emad, Qiam, and Khorramshahr‑4, along with kamikaze drones had “effectively” struck the “command‑and‑control centers, drone hangars, weapons‑support warehouses, and hiding spots of American–Zionist terrorist military personnel and pilots in various areas.” According to the IRGC statement, the strikes targeted five US bases in the region, as well as military positions in the south, center, and north of the Israeli occupied territories, including Haifa Bay, Kiryat Shmona, Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, Dimona, al‑Kharj, Jufair and other locations. “This combined, continuous, multi‑stage operation began overnight and is still underway,” the statement said. The IRGC reiterated that US bases and forces in the region, as well as Israeli “military and security centers” in occupied territories, are legitimate targets for Iran. At the same time, the IRGC statement condemned an Israeli attack on a water desalination plant in Kuwait, calling it “unlawful, inhumane” and “a sign of the baseness and moral corruption of the Zionist occupiers.” The IRGC urged “the countries of the West Asia region” to “remain vigilant against the sedition of the American‑Zionist movement, [which seeks] to destabilize, and destroy the region.” The US and Israel began a fresh round of aerial aggression on Iran on February 28, approximately eight months after unprovoked attacks on the country. Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 on the same day, hitting strategic targets in the Israeli-occupied territories and US interests across the region with ballistic missiles and drones. Monday 30 March 2026: #Breaking_News The Israel Lobby in Us Congress trackaipac.com/congress 🔴Iran’s Army strikes key Israeli military procurement companies Monday, 30 March 2026 5:31 PM  [ Last Update: Monday, 30 March 2026 5:31 PM ] The Iranian Army says it has used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to target key military procurement infrastructure in the Israeli-occupied territories. The Army said in a statement on Monday that it had launched extensive drone operations since early Monday to hit areas in the Israeli-controlled cities of Tel Aviv and Nof HaGalil. The statement said various types of combat drones had been used to target infrastructure controlled and operated by major Israeli companies like Elbit Systems and Kanfit Ltd, adding that the two have been critical to the regime's weapons manufacturing and its design and development of various military systems. The areas and companies hit have been responsible for procurement and production of major missile systems, including the Iron Dome, that have been used by the Israeli regime against Iran's retaliatory strikes since the start of the US-Israeli aggression on Iran in late February, it said. The statement described Elbit Systems as a main weapons manufacturing company focused on electronic warfare, drone manufacturing, identification systems, and radar sensors that has operated as a large arms exporter for the Israeli regime in the past years. It said Kanfit Ltd has been mostly active in the field of engineering and manufacturing aerospace components, as well as constructing airframes for aircraft and helicopters. The Iranian Army said the operation was carried out in honor of Martyr Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy, who was assassinated in a US-Israeli airstrike last week. “The blood of Martyr Tangsiri and each martyr of the country has injected fresh blood into the veins of the self-sacrificing members of the Army and boosted their efforts to protect the country,” the Army statement said.
