Linda Campitelli was murdered by a man with whom she had an intimate relationship but who was not her husband. We do not know much about her relationship with her husband other than it was not going well and there's a good chance she did not want to be with him anymore. Either way, Linda had every right to make decisions about who she spent time with. More importantly, she had every right to live a long and peaceful life - in other words, she had every right to not be murdered. Linda was killed in 2024 by her lover but over the past 24 hours or so, media - particularly the Daily Mail - have been in a feeding frenzy over her death. She is being painted as a difficult woman and a cheating slut by journalists and even by her own mother. The headlines around her death are just fucking deplorable. This is one of the most egregious displays of victim-blaming I have ever seen - and let me tell you I have seen a fuck-ton of that. Journalists are calling her deceitful, a liar, a harlot, a bad mother and all the things. The photos they use re-inforce the messaging that Linda was asking for it.
