@Dcpcooks There is a major difference between being wealthy and being rich. They may be rich but they lack character, integrity, which means they lack goodness and they money is their good, that is the opposite of wealthy.

Closing on the brewery Total all in loss was just over 1,600,000 And we got lucky selling the building and equipment for full appraised value The key takeaway is make sure your partners have integrity. One of ours did not and walked away from their responsibility. That person was the wealthiest of the group too

The stone ridge port is so large they had to split the filings into pieces. and it still gives my computer a headache. A nice diversified bucket of loans from affirm, upstart, achieve, stripe.. Really something else lol. Never loaded multiple 95mb HTML files in tabs before.

@iBladesi @AjaxHamiltonian @ExcessDefaults Coreboot, out of the box Linux support. Can’t argue with that. Mainly came here to say though: holy fucking hell that’s a lot of documents. I’m regularly at 50-60gb of RAM usage, but that’s with 3 CAD programs running. 😆

@AjaxHamiltonian @ExcessDefaults It's a clevo V560TU.. fairly light.. two 48gb modules. I've always liked clevos because you can take them apart. Came in handy for when I spilled tequila and cola all over my keyboard (sticky) and just swapped in another

“Be satisfied with being unsatisfied” Only thing that keeps me sane lol. I’m a fk’n idiot. Always gunna be too big or too small or early or late or ham-fist the execution. But, if I can usually carve a decent chunk out of the middle? Well, the sun will probably rise again tomorrow, and I can do it all over again.

"Had I just held on a little longer, I would have made $25k more!" "Wish I sold sooner, now I'm staring at a -$15k loss instead of a -$1k loss... sigh." "Ugh should went heavier or all in, my prediction was correct, but I could have made a fortune if I bought more." I swear to God, the said above played out at least 3 times over for me today alone. Any of these thoughts ever run through your head as they do mine? Confess. I can't be the only one...

@l1quid1ty Nah, but shorting oil hurts just about as bad. 😆 I did sell vol at the beginning of the month, that worked. Now? Gimme 70-80 and I’ll stick my hand back in that wasp nest. I think Aug ‘24 will always be burned in my brain lmao. 30 seemed rich back then, too.

Look, guys: Oil might go to $200/barrel. A lack of urea could cause mass starvation. Iran still has uranium. The S&P could fall to 3k. China could move on Taiwan. But I just shaved 8 seconds off my PR for Spider Solitaire. It ain’t all bad.

Also, - There were a bunch of instances where we got close to a crossover, and stopped @ ~(5%). - In several of the 18 events, the 9/21 cross lagged the actual bottom by a few weeks. We bottomed, started recovering, but, math being math, the 9 was still getting dragged down for a while.

I’m waiting on corned beef, so I hashed it out. Criteria: New ATH, followed by a 9/21 EMA crossover on the weekly chart. 14 events since ‘93, + 4 close calls where the 9 didn’t quite cross under the 21. Drawdown is from the ATH to the ultimate bottom. I sat down cause the ‘data back to ‘22’ bit was funny. And 14 data points + $0.05 probably won’t buy you a cup of coffee these days. But I will say a 9/21 weekly crossover hasn’t been… awesome? For asset prices, historically.

@OptionsMir Big same. Coolest, most intellectually stimulating thing I’ve ever done. Love it. But there’s too much of a good thing lol.
