@OfSymbols @kevinf567 I don't think she's pretending. She takes abortion very seriously and is almost certainly actually praying. Who decides what's loitering (a law that doesn't really exist in the UK) and what's standing where you like in a free country.

@PabloSt981 @kevinf567 They aren’t praying they are loitering. If anything the obscene duplicity of pretending to prey for political reasons should offend a good Christian.

She literally got prayer banned outside abortion clinics

@Lord_Talbot64 nope. I don't agree with them and I'm saying so - but I'm not calling for Danny Kruger to be banned from trafalgar square or driven underground to express himself....

@kevinf567 Banning Muslims from praying in public because they are Muslim is nothing like banning everyone from “praying” outside abortion clinics and you need to have a brain made from soup to think so.

@PabloSt981 @josemorgado yes!! ideally we wouldnt clarify either direction, since they dont compete together anyway. but while mens sport is viewed as the standard and womens sport the exception, specifying 'man' when male athletes break records helps put exposure on womens and paralympic categories

@PantheraSteven @ClareCraigPath That's a good point. I think a lot of the logic (on the pro-choice side) is faulty; the baby is precious if wanted but property if not or it's the mother's choice to abort but if she dies doing it I doubt they would let the baby die.

@PabloSt981 @ClareCraigPath Thanks for responding. My guess is the point is a moral/counterfactual one. If a mother dies and the baby survives then do they follow the mother's wishes and kill the baby or let it survive?

The abortion argument was won partly because of investigations of stillbirths upsetting the mothers. The police should be more sensitive - but a society that protects life has to investigate deaths. Next step - mothers die, then they call for in hospital care up to term?
Right To Life UK@RightToLifeUK

“Why don’t you allow mothers to kill the baby on the first day of life? What is the difference?” 👀Watch @Jacob_Rees_Mogg on @GBNEWS get the ex-CEO of Britain’s largest abortion provider BPAS to admit that abortion after a baby can survive outside the womb is “killing a baby.”

@PantheraSteven @ClareCraigPath I think Dr Craig means that by decriminalising women they will self-administer abortions badly or at the wrong time, some will die which will lead to calls for the legalisation of all abortions up to birth for the safety of women.

@ClareCraigPath I don't understand your last point. I've read it a few times. I'm with you on the abortion views you hold - I just can't see what you mean at the end.

Arguments for abortion can be difficult to counter because they deny the most basic moral and scientific truths: killing is bad, mothers should look after their children, embryos and foetuses are alive. How do you explain colour to the blind?

'Bodily autonomy' and 'freedom' are not magic spells that destroy all law and make moral every use of one's body. We've always limited choice. If I ask a surgeon to remove my right eye he won't. And that's MY body not someone else's, not my own child's!
Ella Whelan@Ella_M_Whelan

This kind of frothing hatred for women's freedom is just so out of touch with public opinion on abortion. MPs with even the tiniest liberal bone in their body need to have some courage and come out and defend our bodily autonomy, because at the moment Westminster is sounding like a house full of loons.

We limit “choice” all the time in society. The choice to punch someone on the nose. The choice to rob a bank. We limit choices when those choices will hurt other people. It is entirely appropriate to limit “choice” to protect babies in the womb.

@BuzzingPop I'm so tired of pretending you're a child until you're 40 these days. It's ridiculous. The infantization of adults really shows in today's world.

@CCamosy There is little, logically, that stands in the way of infanticide because the criteria used to deny the unborn their rights are arbitrary and can be expanded on a whim.

@D_82X @NickBuckleyMBE @Child0fSource You've wilfully misconstrued everything I've said so there's no point continuing. It sounds like you think wars can never be morally fought, which is fine but strange, because sometimes you have no choice.

If you think abortion up to birth is murder, then you need to spend more time thinking about it. ALL abortion is murder. It doesn’t matter how old the unborn baby is.

@D_82X @NickBuckleyMBE @Child0fSource Abortion are performed on existing children. Killing one of your children because you're struggling to look after the others is immoral. Give the child up for adoption/a family member.

Was it right to have an abortion? Yes. Did innocents die? Yes. Having another child would have severely impacted your ability to provide for your existing children. Your finances are stretched, your behind on rent / mortgage payments, you're struggling to beer your home, to put food on the table, to buy your clothes and now you're faced with a the possibility of another child to feed, clothe and keep warm. Is that nuanced enough for you?

@D_82X @NickBuckleyMBE @Child0fSource No; you need to think in a more nuanced way. Was it right to fight Nazism or Communism? Yes. Did innocents die because of that? Yes.

@D_82X @NickBuckleyMBE @Child0fSource Because war/violence is sometimes necessary to prevent future worse atrocities and injustices. Abortion is unnecessary, always wrong and only has one aim: to kill a child.

@PabloSt981 @NickBuckleyMBE @Child0fSource I'm not saying you don't care, I'm saying you accept there are consequences to the views and beliefs you hold. You know that the action you support will result in children dying. Like you say, it's inevitable, so why would you support something knowing full well kids would die?
