Charlie Kirk is a great man and a great fighter for the cause. Most importantly he’s a husband and a father. I’m praying for him and his family right now. Please do the same.

It is tragic that we now live in a world that differences of opinion are met with a gun. The death of Charlie Kirk is not political violence it is an assassination. The utter tragedy is that Kirk travelled extensively around university campuses to give an open mic and debate to everyone - and all were welcome. He stood for freedom of speech and especially fought for the right of others to express theirs - even if he disagreed. The essence of democracy is under threat around the world and we must do everything we can to protect it.

Mr Luxon is off on a trade trip to China. After prompting from media, he disclosed he is taking a "great kapa haka group" with him as they provide a special cultural connection with the Chinese and help build rapport.

The absolute front of Chlöe Swarbrick... - Passover is a Jewish feast celebrating freedom, but Chlöe Swarbrick is celebrating it without supporting hostage freedom. She has never advocated for freedom for the hostages. - Swarbrick wears a keppah (as a non-Jew), a head covering traditionally for Jewish men, which some communities consider inappropriate for women. - She also wears a keffiyah, a terrorist tea towel, a headdress linked to Palestinian/Muslim culture and freedom struggles, seen as a misuse of cultural symbols. - I find it disturbing that these significant religious and cultural symbols are used without understanding their true meanings. - Swarbrick’s actions are culturally insensitive, adding to a pattern of ignorance and disrespect toward Jewish traditions by those in power. Her constant chants "from the river to the sea" show her support for genocide against Jews and the destruction of Israel. Swarbrick is disgusting.

@TheShad78631449 It looks to me that the one on the left is mostly eaten and the one on the right is untouched. The Principal has no principles and is intent on disinformation.

These are lunches from two different schools in the same area of NZ. Can somebody tell me why Compass Group would have such different quality standards from the same delivery?? It looks to me like the Principal is tampering to suit his agenda again.

I’ve avoided commenting on the so called “free” school lunches issue, because speaking frankly, the whole business just sickens me. It is appalling that so many people today are so gripped by the inertia of socialism that they can’t be bothered providing their kids with a lunch to eat at school. And worse, no one who should seems to give a damn about our country sinking to such a shameful low. The outrageous and unashamed level of entitlement that exists in schoolkids, parents and school staff just signals how rotted with socialism this country has become. The attached video shows the principal of the Lincoln Heights Primary school in Auckland. Where they’re sending back 300 lunches out of just over 500 provided because they don’t like the content. What waste! The lunches are of course not free, as the mindless oxen who drag the socialist cart would insist on calling them.  They’re provided by other parents, who in many cases have already prepared lunches for their own kids. Finally and worst of all, the true purpose of these lunches is not to feed the kids, but to entrench in them a socialist mindset– a sub-human level of dependence on the state. IMHO so called “free” school lunches are a cancer on our society. The whole project should be abandoned as a clear material and social failure.

State owned power generator Genesis Energy has announced it needs to stockpile 1 million tonnes of Indonesian coal. CEO Malcolm Johns said the coal is insurance against any failure of NZ's largely "renewable" energy sources. An event considered highly likely this year due to low water levels in hydropower dams. Wind and sun are also unreliable. Why there is a push to stop using the word "renewable" and start using "intermittent". This is a big part of continuously rising power prices. The unreliability of renewables means we must simultaneously run coal/gas powered generators and this has significant costs.
