Happy Easter everyone. During this time of reflection, allow me to share with you some of my own lessons and observations.
As many of you now know, I was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident the evening of St Patrick’s Day (I wasn’t wearing a helmet). I was found by the side of the road by my wife, Jennifer when I didn’t come home. As I drifted in and out of consciousness, I told her I didn’t want or need to go the hospital. Fortunately, my wife was smarter than me and took me to the ER.
Immediately upon arriving, the on-call surgeon found lots of life threatening issues. Pierced lung, collapsed lung, severed spleen, shattered rib cage, TBI, dislocated hand and wrist, damaged shoulder, and nearly 32 facial and cranial fractures. As a result I was life flighted to shock trauma and was given less than a 50% chance.
After a week in shock trauma I was finally released and now resting comfortably at home.
After some self reflection, I decided to share my recovery story in hopes it can help others.
As I continue my journey to recovery, I will chronicle it with short videos. And a huge thank you to all of you who prayed for me and all the well wishes. God bless you all and for the love of God, don’t be a Lue, and please wear a helmet.

UFO expert Steven Greer says a secret war between advanced civilizations and humans has been going on, with humans as the bad guys.
He says Earth has been visited by non-hostile advanced civilizations and that humans are the ones hostile to them.
He says Matt Gaetz is correct about a secret hybrid breeding program between aliens and humans, with the goal of combining DNA.
"We have downed at least a thousand or more of their spacecraft."
"We have captured those bodies, some living and some dead."

A huge betrayal.
Won't lower bills. Won't give us more energy security. Won't insulate from price shocks.
And sends a clear message to the world that we are backing new oil and gas drilling.

Are you fucking thick on purpose, Dave?
We ship LNG from Qatar & the USA (£12bn).
We import gas & oil from Norway (£40bn).
Wouldn't it be good if we had the taxes from homegrown gas & oil?
My dog is smarter than you on economics. Yer thick twat.

@DaveHo1mes @Chardgrills We're forest, We're either winning the treble of We're going down and into administration, no middle ground, all in, its who we are mate 🤣

Forest seem incapable of having a season with nothing on the line, but if we can have some stability in what’s going to be a big summer with maybe a manager change, at least Anderson leaving requiring a midfield rebuild, and Sels and Wood coming towards the end of their careers at the top top level and needing to look at getting replacements through the door, then I’d bite your hand off for 8-14th.

An interesting snippet on Kalimuendo’s future at #NFFC in the Athletic interview with loans and player pathway manager Owen Coyle Jr.
The talk recently has been that Frankfurt have the buy option in the loan agreement but wanted to negotiate down the price, this would seem to indicate that the club expect him back this summer, and if the player is willing it’s definitely a move the club should make to reintegrate him into the squad in preseason.
He’s a completely different striking option to what Forest currently have available and in Wood, Jesus and Kalimuendo, assuming Lucca and Awoniyi leave, Forest would have three good options to lead the line next year, I still think they’d look at signing a proven number one striker if there’s someone out there but that’s easier said than done.
Kalimuendo along with Bakwa and McAtee in particular would really benefit from a full preseason, and hopefully some stability in the managers office, who knows if that would be Pereira with the options available this summer, but these are quality young players who once settled should really push to be starting for the club.
There’s positive reports on Bindon in the article as well, who might get a chance as well this summer depending on who leaves.

@DavidMark124720 @PeterMcCormack Wage rise is effectively lost to the taxman due to fiscal drag from frozen thresholds.
Why doesnt any economist or commentator pick up on this more?
English

@THemingford If they just raised the tax threshold in line with inflation like they do with everything else there wouldn't be as much a problem surely

On 1 January 2026, Julian Pereira, a Brazilian asylum seeker left what appeared to be a bomb outside the front door of MI5’s headquarters in Vauxhall, London.
The CCTV camera operator saw it and police were called away from a major event to deal with it.
Pereira was arrested at his asylum hotel in Uxbridge and has been at the magistrate’s court this week but the judge has referred it to the Old Bailey, as the maximum sentence he could have set was 12 months.
What is truly astonishing about this case is how long it takes the system to deal with a rejected asylum claim.
Pereira came to the UK to work in July 2018. From February 2019 he was in the country illegally. 7 years later, in 2026, he is still in the UK and for 5 years of that time he was housed in taxpayer funded accommodation.
This asylum claim was rejected in 2023 and his appeal rejected in December 2025.
What is going on with asylum claims/processing that it takes 5 years and even then they are not deported?

@realMaalouf What the hell is going on here? Are they filming a new walking dead movie?

@KieranMaguire Isn't there a set of rules that are there to prevent this very thing? 😳
