@TurbulentSphere @NASA_Marshall @rookisaacman I don’t think the replica team ever attempted a launch. I was going to try and borrow the replica for the Liquid Propulsion Symposium but we had a statue of Goddard instead. The story behind this build is great: ntrs.nasa.gov/api/citations/…

I wonder if @NASA_Marshall still has their Goddard rocket replica. Flying it would probably be a stretch (but amazing if possible), but it would be neat of they could do something with it on the 100th anniversary. @rookisaacman

Just a reminder to all I'm planning what I call EpicBreezy starting in March and ending in September. I'm planning on flying the breezy around the perimeter of the continental US. 9700 miles about 160 hrs. Will fly for a week park it fly home commercial, work a few weeks wash rinse repeat. Plan to attend SunNFun and AirVenture. First Leg from here to Brownsville happens in March. Will be recording the whole flight and if all goes well hopefully livestreaming it over starlink. But I got LOTS of flight data, and recovered all parts of the rocket! I also set up a high speed camera triggered by a microswitch on the rocket's fin to capture the camera pod breakaway and it worked GREAT

It launched! Some parts of the flight worked, some did not! One of the commercial computers deployed parachutes at around 530mph, and that made the rocket very sad

I'm gonna spend a bit of time organizing footage and data, then I've got a bunch of videos to make about this project! Thanks to @Pad33space for this shot :)
