@an7body I noticed the ableism with MJ off the bat. unfortunately ableism is perceived as normal, its deeply ingrained within people to be, in media, in institutions etc, we are no where near deconstructing that as a society yet. + it only worsened since covid 💔

it's like nobody takes conditions like lupus or vitiligo seriously. Michael had it the worst with public scrutiny but I've noticed a small pattern of people having complete disregard for other celebrities who have it as well. Especially Lupus with the way it changes your appearance

@takeyahighyaa I used to work in a pharmacy too. I saw the same thing happen as well. I also saw a lot of doctors write scripts for minor pain meds for huge things like spine surgery. A doc legit prescribed tramadol and ibuprofen to someone who had spinal fusion. Wtf.

Hi, the disability community just lost someone who was dismissed and ignored by doctors. You may feel like we're drug seekers and that the doc had a right to refuse but frankly I am so tired of seeing and experiencing this shit. If your patient ends their life bc you won't 1/?
