#MushroomMonday A new one for me, Lepista Sordida no common name one of the Blewit family. Apparently compost heaps are one of its favourite habitats, such as vibrant colour.
#FungiFriday St George’s Mushrooms under a hedge on a visit to Worcestershire and Woodwart and Reticularia Hycoperdon on a visit to the wonderful RSPB Leighton Moss.
#MushroomMonday First time I’ve seen Common Morels, these were in my sisters garden. A friend of hers has several on his allotment so maybe this is a bumper year for them.
#MushroomMonday Not much to see here, everywhere is so dry. Scurfy Twiglet, a solitary Sulphur Tuft and I think a small cluster of Brick Tufts I think.
#FungiFriday Another one I’m not sure about on the side of a decayed tree stump but the second picture is of something I’ve come across before. A slime mould I think, Reticularia Lycomodium.
#MushroomMonday Went back to look at the Leafy Brain gradually sliding of its branch. Apparently it’s parasitic on the mycelium of Sterum Sanguinolentum,a fungus that grows on dead branches. I think this is Ganderma Resinaceum and lastly Beech Woodwart.
#MushroomMonday Only 4 small Palomino Cups so far but better than last year when there were none. However in 2024 the decaying tree was covered with them! Still haven’t managed to find any Scarlet Elf Cups but Sulphur Tufts still appearing and this maybe the last Magpie Inkcap,
