I’ve been foraging for what, ten years or so… and this is the first time I have ever found Calocybe gambosa - St. George’s Mushroom. I’ve looked for them for years. I was very pleased and will remember where I found them for next year. Tasty!

@TracySaverino Here in the UK you usually see Amethyst Deceivers from September to early December... Autumn time. This is the first time I have ever seen them in March. It's very odd.

@bernoid When do you usually see them? I don’t ever see them here, but I presume you’ve had warmer temperatures as we have had incredible swings in temperature the past couple weeks. We went from 8°F then 60°, and then last Saturday it was 94°. Winter spring and summer in one week.

I’m so close to giving up. I spend literally hours in the field everyday to get the perfect shots and now AI content creators can create literally perfect (to the SCALE) replicas and spam social media for monetisation. I’m just so burnt out and angry over it, and META don’t care.
