I have decided to leave X and move to Substack to focus on writing about childhood trauma. It's been a great journey here on X and I've met plenty of amazing people here @parkerworth @PhilMaerz @itscristabraun @Misha_Palm @DanielleLauraaa @breathe__better @ZainabMhq @marchy1976 @adrienne_lain. And many others who've I'd come crossed over the past 1.5 years. However, I have finally accepted that this space is not for a traumatized person like me. And even though I'd spent thousands of dollars on copywriting courses, it simply isn't for me. Or maybe I was not made for copywriting. My initial intention was to become a writer. I just got drifted away by the flashing and bling bling promises of how with copywriting I could make more money. But... writing about something I'm passionate about is what truely matters to me. I don't regret the money I'd spent (okay maybe just a little we are talking about $15k)... ... But I do not regret the journey, the lessons, and all the amazing people I'd met along the way. I have started writing on Substack and I feel it vibes more with me. There I'm writing about women who have healed from childhood trauma and now sharing their stories to inspire others. If you are interested, subscribe and follow me there: fatimaferreira.substack.com See you there!

@ZainabMhq I did but they were all 1 year old and at the time there was that option. But not now :(

Hey Fátima, just subscribed to your Substack... I look forward to following you there. I'll miss you here but grateful to have connected with you! PS. None of your investment in courses is in vain. I truly believe you will make use of them in greater ways than you can imagine right now. Just keep on following your heart 🫶🥰

@PhilMaerz Think how much money you could save if you built up the habit at home. I haven't touched a gym in almost two decades.

Up to 60% of Gym memberships are unused. Do people go more often when the price is higher? Yes. Curious, how much does your membership cost?

I don’t like “free” webinars. They start with building up my hopes for 45-60 minutes straight. Emphasizing my problems again and again. But never to reveal the “how”. After 45-60 minutes, they put up a link and ask me to join a course or buy their product with a big fat discount. Usually $100 or $200 off of a $497+ price tag. I’d joined 30+ webinars over the last 18 months to study the marketing side of it. And the more I study them. The less I fancy them. Instead, I reckon: Write emails daily. Build a genuine relationship with your audience. Show them you understand their problems. Show them you have the knowledge to help them when they need it.

@adrienne_lain I was in constant credit card debit until recently, I thought I was unhappy with my life, but turns out ADHD could cause overspending in people in general. I wish schools taught these things, how to recognize overspending for ADHD people and how to spend wisely.

In my early 30s, I made the decision to get out of debt once and for all. Hands down, one of the best choices I've ever made—for my life and my business. These days, you’ll hear a lot of advice about taking on debt to start a business. That this is "smart" debt. Since starting our business, we've generated over $10 million in revenue without taking a single loan. The internet changed the game. Loans aren’t necessary. In fact, I’d argue they often hold you back more than they help you move forward.

2024 was a big realisation year for me. •Went back to therapy.
 •Got diagnosed with ADHD.
•Turns out I’m also mild autistic.
•Worked up the courage to face my childhood trauma.
•Understood my core belief was “I’m not good enough” and formulating new core beliefs.
•I overspent because of ADHD and with the right mindset I became mindful of my spendings.
•I procrastinated because of childhood trauma and no amount of journaling or typical hacks could help me, only working on my core beliefs could.
•I got stuck in the imposter syndrome and kept spending money on learning new skills instead of just writing and learning along the way. For those reasons alone, I know 2025 will be a better year Because I am working on myself for a mind without feeling firing ants crawling… While sharing my journey here to help any one of you who are struggling as well. What were your realisations in 2024? And how will they help you grow in 2025? Set aside a few minutes today to reflect. See you tomorrow in 2025!

Volunteer while on vacation. Why not? That’s how I met a new friend today in Lisbon. A shelter named Focinhos & Bigodes. And with the help of a friend who’s a regular volunteer there… … I Got the opportunity to walk this fine lady Migas here. 40 minutes of my 4 week holidays for me. 40 minutes of fresh air and sunshine for Migas. Worth every second ❤️🥰 PS - there are strict policies in different shelters, but even if you can’t walk the dogs, you can always: Donate Pay them a visit Clean the kennels Or just sit near the dogs and give them some extra love ❤️ I’ll be back with some pain free tips soon!
