Pakistan is once again confronting a serious security threat originating from Afghanistan.
Armed groups operating from Afghan territory continue to target Pakistan, and Islamabad openly holds the Afghan Taliban responsible for either supporting or failing to stop these militants.
In such a situation, #Pakistan has no alternative but to act. Defending its borders, protecting its citizens, and eliminating terrorist threats coming from #Afghanistan is not only its right — it is its duty as a sovereign state.
There must be zero tolerance for terrorism. Any group using Afghanistan as a base to destabilize Pakistan must be neutralized. Stability in the region depends on decisive and uncompromising action.
#Azerbaijan stands firmly and clearly with Pakistan. We support Pakistan’s legitimate right to defend itself against threats coming from Afghanistan and to ensure peace and security within its borders.

Built in the 9th century and later rebuilt in its present form in the 18th century, Derawar Fort rises from Pakistan’s Cholistan Desert like a wall of giant brick bastions. Its 40 massive towers, decorated with cut-brick patterns, were designed to dominate the horizon and remain visible from miles away.
