To cut through the noise, let me make this opinion (fact?) clear: Palworld is a better video game than any singular pokemon video game. Pokemon either lacked the drive, skill, or risk tolerance to pull something similar off.

The Palworld vs Pokemon debate is getting muddied. It ultimately comes down to this: Pokemon has failed to innovate in any way for 20+ years. They could have branched any number of ways and had massive success, but they didn't. Palworld explored just one branch and blew up.
