First full week of my PhD done and dusted. Here’s what I’ve learned so far:
• PI’s are like bigger, older kids who are just as excited about the project as you.
• You never grow out of wanting a “free” t-shirt.
• I should’ve practiced my commute before I started 😅

Today, we highlight #URIGSO's Robinson Lab & their work in coastal RI. Most recently, their research on the interaction between sediments & the water column has involved deploying benthic landers in Greenwich Bay & in experimental mesocosm tanks on the Bay Campus. #WorldWaterDay

@PaleoNotTheDiet you can communicate with PIs and then visit a few labs of your interest. That'll help you to get some idea on what you might want to focus later. It'll also give you some perspective while preparing your next application
