The #Nakba was never a moment frozen in history—it is a continuing reality of killing, displacement, siege, occupation, & exile. But memory does not die. Keys are still kept. Names are still remembered. And a people who carry their homeland in their hearts will never disappear.

From the declaration of the “ceasefire” on 10 October 2025 through 8 April 2026, Israel killed 736 people across the Gaza Strip. Around 150 of them were killed during the joint Israeli‑American attack on Iran. “The yellow line,” drawn as part of the Trump plan and leaving more than half of Gaza’s territory under Israeli control on a “temporary” basis, has become an arena of killing and repeated displacement of Palestinians and is solidifying into a de facto border. According to recent satellite‑image analysis, since the “ceasefire” began, the Israeli military has erected seven new posts along the yellow line, shifted its route to bite off more of Gaza’s land, and begun constructing a ground barrier stretching for kilometers. Gaza’s roughly 2.1 million residents are forced to crowd into an area that amounts to less than half of the Strip’s territory. More than one million displaced people urgently need basic shelter supplies. Most live in makeshift tents, vulnerable to flooding and inhuman sanitation conditions, or in damaged structures at immediate risk of collapse. With the onset of the attack on Iran, Israel imposed draconian restrictions on the entry of humanitarian supplies into the Strip, causing a roughly 80% drop in the number of aid trucks entering. With crossings closed, the number of patients allowed to leave the Strip for urgent medical treatment plummeted to 16 in March, while more than 18,500 patients who need treatment outside Gaza are unable to leave. Gaza’s healthcare system, almost entirely destroyed in the Israeli assault, is now expected to cope with a massive patient load amid severe shortages of medicines, medical equipment and fuel. The closure of the crossings has also exacerbated Gaza’s food crisis: basic commodities have disappeared from markets, and the prices of other goods have soared beyond the reach of most of the population. As a result, about 1.6 million people are expected to face hunger this month. Six months into the so-called ceasefire, the killing, destruction, starvation and displacement persist, while the international community continues to turn its back on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and to enable the genocide carried out by Israel.

The passage of the Prisoner Execution Law constitutes an open declaration of war on prisoners’ lives inside prisons, turning them into sites of direct killing. The Prisoner Execution Law represents a dangerous shift toward legitimizing the public killing of Palestinian prisoners under legal cover. Full statement: palprisoners.ps/?p=1673&lang=en

Final Approval of Israeli Knesset Law on Executing Palestinian Prisoners Marks a Dangerous Escalation Toward Legalizing Genocide and Institutionalizing Field Execution The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the final approval by the Israeli Knesset in its second and third readings, of the law permitting the execution of Palestinian prisoners. The Ministry categorically rejects this legislation and considers it a grave and dangerous escalation in the policies of the occupying power. The Ministry affirms that this law represents a critical turning point in the formalization of extrajudicial killings under a legal guise. It once again exposes the true nature of Israel’s colonial system, which seeks to legitimize unlawful killing through legislative cover. This step places the occupying government and its instruments in direct confrontation with international law, its principles, values, and norms, as well as the entire system of international justice, and puts the world to a serious test of its credibility. The Ministry affirms that Israel’s judicial system and its legislative institutions are nothing more than tools used to entrench occupation, enable crimes against the Palestinian people, and ensure impunity for Israeli war criminals. The Ministry stresses that this law, in its essence, constitutes an institutionalized policy of field executions based on discriminatory and racist standards. It reflects clear intentions to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity, adding to the ongoing crimes in Gaza Strip in extending across the West Bank including East Jerusalem. The Ministry warns of its direct and dangerous repercussions on arbitrarily detained Palestinian prisoners. The Ministry considers this law an official declaration adopting killing as a politicized tool within the system of occupation, and a form of collective punishment against the Palestinian people. The Ministry calls on the international community to take immediate and decisive action. It is time to reconsider relations with the Israeli Knesset, impose sanctions on it and its members, and suspend its membership in international parliamentary bodies, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The Ministry further urges all states, as well as international justice institutions, to act urgently and effectively to activate accountability mechanisms, impose sanctions on Israel, and hold those responsible for this legislation accountable. It also calls for the boycott of this institution that seeks to legitimize racism and killing, and for immediate measures to ensure the protection of Palestinian prisoners and guarantee their rights in accordance with international humanitarian law. The Ministry stresses that urgent and sustained legal and diplomatic efforts must be intensified to pressure the occupying government and prevent the transformation of execution into a discriminatory and politicized tool targeting Palestinian prisoners.

Despite few amendments to the previous drafts, any death sentences imposed under this law would constitute a violation of the right to life and, when imposed against Palestinians from the OPT, may also amount to war crimes. The international community must exert maximum pressure on the Israeli authorities to immediately repeal this law, fully abolish the death penalty, and dismantle all laws and practices that contribute to the system of apartheid against Palestinians.

The State of Palestine co-sponsored the resolution and the Palestinian people stand in solidarity with the millions of African victims of trafficking and racialised chattel enslavement. May this injustice never be perpetrated again; may its enduring racial, economic, ecological and political harms end; and may its victims find reparatory justice and accountability.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Organized Settler Terrorism as Part of a Genocidal War Against the Palestinian People The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the State of Palestine strongly condemns the calculated and organized attacks carried out yesterday by settler militias across various cities, villages, and towns in the occupied West Bank. These assaults reflect a dangerous escalation in systematic and widespread settler terrorism, supported and coordinated by the Israeli occupation authorities and army. The Ministry noted that settlers’ assaults on villages; including the burning of homes and property, terrorizing and killing of civilians, and the targeting of vital roads, junctions, and main streets during Eid al-Fitr, alongside decisions of the Israeli occupation authorities to continue their genocidal war against our people in Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, as well as the ongoing closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Christian and Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem, constitute a coordinated strategy across the occupation’s apparatus. These measures are part of deliberate tactics aimed at deepening the genocidal war through the settler colonial regime, all of which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Ministry expressed its appreciation for the positions of countries that have condemned these crimes and called on the international community to take concrete measures rather than limiting itself to statements. It urged the fulfillment of international responsibilities and obligations in implementing UN resolutions, disarming settlers, and holding them accountable for acts of terrorism, including insisting them on international terrorism lists, imposing travel bans, freezing their funds and assets, and targeting the financial networks and goods associated with settlements. The Ministry affirmed its continued diplomatic efforts to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, activate international mechanisms endorsed by the international system, and hold the Israeli colonial regime as a whole, along with all those responsible, accountable in order to deter the commission of such crimes. It added that this comes amid what it described as Israel’s exploitation of international preoccupation with the ongoing Israeli-American-Iranian conflict.
