اللهم اجعله عاماً تغاث فيه غزة، واكتب فيه رحمة لأهلها، ونصرا وعزا لمجاهديها، وعذابا لأعدائها، وانتقاما من خاذليها وشانئيها، وخزيا لكل من تواطأ مع عدوها عليها.

Today Canada is incapable of stating the obvious; that one party has violated *the most basic rule* of international law since Nuremberg: the prohibition of aggression. Shameful and terrifying.

As we near the end of 2025, I am reminded of how I was supposed to graduate from my public health and preventive medicine residency program this year. I didn’t because Canadian medical and public health institutions were not only silent about the ongoing genocide in Palestine, but they sought to repress and punish those who dared speak out. I went into medicine and public health because I care about basic common humanity and the sacred work of caring for and healing one another in a deeply sick society and world. Studying and working in public health was something I loved doing. To think deeply about the social and structural determinants of health, like the food, water, housing, education, and healthcare systems that support and sustain the health of populations and communities. But to also think of the broader political and colonial determinants of health like policies and institutions steeped in white supremacy and racism that not only remain silent in the face of genocide but actively help enable it by attempting to silence those who are in solidarity with all people who are oppressed. And to think deeply or to study these systems is not enough, but we also have to practice and exercise what solidarity looks like especially in times that require it the most to move towards a different system altogether that doesn’t center capitalism, colonialism, and imperialism. Working as a family doctor and moving through the world over the past year, I have seen so many populations and communities under attack and threat. People who use drugs. Queer and trans people. People who are racialized and othered. People who are immigrants, refugees, and seeking a better life free from oppression. Ultimately liberation is the best medicine. Liberation from the forms of structural oppression that is at the root of so much suffering, illness, disease, and death in this world. May we continue to work to connect the struggles for liberation, so that we work towards a world where basic common humanity prevails over hate, patriarchy, and colonialism. May more of us take up the sacred work of caring for and healing one another in a deeply sick society and world.

الإمارات اليوم أداة لدعم كيان يسعى من خلالها إلى إنشاء مشاريع انفصالية تخدم تل أبيب، وتقاتل نيابة عن الصهاينة لتحقيق حلم "إسرائيل الكبرى". هذا، باختصار، هو مشروع محمد بن زايد اليوم. لا أفهم حقًا كيف يتعامل بعض العرب مع الأمور بمنطق "الظالمين بالظالمين". وبعيدًا عن جنون هذا الأمر وعاطفيته، وعن كونه ليس حديثًا سياسيًا بحتًا، فإننا نتحدث هنا عن مصير منطقة وأمة وشعوب مسلمة يجتاحها الصهيوني اليوم، بعد أن ارتكب إبادة في غزة وقضم عشرات الاف الدونمات في الضفة و سوريا ولينان، ويسعى لضرب ايران ومصر والسعودية وتركيا عبر كيانات انفصالية على حدودها. مشروع واضح، أدواته ملموسة اليوم في سوريا ولبنان والصومال والسودان واليمن. فهل مات شهداء غزة حتى نترك هذا المشروع الصهيوني يتمدد، فقط لأننا لا نريد مواجهته، بحجة أن البعض يراه فرصة لتصفية حسابات عاطفية أو شماتة مع أي حاكم يختلفون معه بسبب أخطاءه ؟ وبعيدًا عن كل ذلك، هذه شعوب مسلمة فيها نساء وأطفال، ولا أفهم منطقًا يقول إننا نشمت بهم حين يحاصرهم الصهيوني بكيانات انفصالية يدعمها عملاء مثل عيدروس الزبيدي الذي صرح بنفسه ان الولاء لاسرائيل حين يعلن استقلال "دولته". فكيف إذا كان الأمر يتعلق بشعب سعودي كريم، يعرفه الجميع بكرمه وإحسانه لعقود طويلة في دعم قضايا الأمة؟ وكيف يكون الظالمين بالظالمين وإذا نجح مشروع الزبيدي الصهيوني الإماراتي في جنوب اليمن سيصبح اداة نتنياهو لضرب صنعاء وانصار الله لأنهم وقفوا مع غزة؟ السيد عبدالملك الحوثي وهو خصم السعودية أعلن بكل وضوح ان اي تواجد عسكري اسرائيلي في الصومال سيكون هدف عسكري له وقرر ان يتزعم هذا الطريق بعنوان حماية المنطقة لم يقل حماية صنعاء فقط، وهو يدرك جيدا ان هذا سيكون له ثمن، ولكن كما قالت العرب : لولا المشقة لساد الناس كلهم، كما انه لم يعلق على الاحداث في جنوب اليمن ولم يقل اللهم اضرب الظالمين بالظالمين. ختامًا، يجب أن يكون الموقف اليوم دعم كل من يواجه هذا المشروع الإسرائيلي في المنطقة. أما ولي العهد السعودي وغيره من قادة الأنظمة، فنستمر في حثهم على تصحيح مواقفهم تجاه قضيتنا المركزية بعد ان وصل خطر المشروع الصهيوني إلى حدودهم.

من غير المنطقي، وغير الأخلاقي، وغير الإنساني، أن تستفرد "دولة" (عصابة) صغيرة بإقليم شاسع، وتتحكم في مصائر مئات الملايين فيه، تارة بالحرب، وتارة بالإبادة، وتارة أخرى بتمكين عملائها من رقاب الناس. وأن تتحدى التاريخ والجغرافيا وحضارات شعوبنا لتعيد تشكيل المنطقة بأكملها وفق هواها، ولتحقيق مصالحها فقط. ليس من العدل أن تصل هذه الطغمة العنصرية إلى وضع تخاطب فيه الملايين وتقول لهم إنها "ربهم الأعلى"، فتمنحهم الفتات إن أطاعوها، وتبيدهم إن تحدوها. لقد مر قرن من الزمن لم تهنأ فيه شعوب هذه المنطقة لا باستقلال ولا بتحرر ولا بدول حديثة ولا بأي شيء آخر، فقط لأن هذه الدولة/العصابة في صِدام مستمر مع كل ما يحيط بها، سعيًا لترسيخ مشروعها المريض، المختل، والعنصري. ولكن، سيأتي اليوم الذي سينفض فيه الإقليم هذا الأذى عن نفسه عاجلاً أم آجلاً، وستكون العاقبة لمن أدرك هذه الحقيقة، وعمل جادًا لتحقيقها، وتجرأ بخيال شجاع، ولم يكتف بالفتات. لا مستقبل لمن يرضى بالفتات.

Theo Von wouldn’t stop bringing up Israel and on the third try, Joe Rogan finally caved and engaged. Von brought up Palantir’s surveillance operations in both America and Gaza, including unprecedented facial recognition tech targeting civilians. Palantir is owned by Joe’s friend, Peter Thiel. They also touched on Larry Ellison buying TikTok to push pro-Israel messaging, Israel paying influencers $7,000 per post, and the genocide in Gaza. Rogan sounded like an establishment mouthpiece at times: careful, cautious, like he didn’t want to say the wrong thing. It’s disappointing to see Joe take the “safe dissident” route. He knows exactly what’s going on, but instead chooses tired talking points, plays dumb, and even falls back on blaming China. Joe built his brand talking about everything. I guess there are still things even he can’t touch.

Today, under the City's Community Recognition Program, the Palestinian flag was raised on the community recognition flagpole at #Mississauga Celebration Square as requested by the community to acknowledge Canada's recognition of the State of Palestine.

My little brother in Gaza sent me this. They can’t return to their homes because beyond the yellow line is now fully occupied by Israel. This is classic ethic cleansing & land grab. Pushing indigenous people into smaller and smaller corners while we try to act like we’ve evolved since the 1800s.
