@AutoInfatuation @tom550993 I've got a say, I'm not his biggest fan but on the car stuff, he does just seem to be using his platform for good; to expose some of the shady/shitty dealers. Basically you expect a certain standard of you're spending ~£300k on a car, which seems totally fair.

There is a YouTuber/insta chap who buys cars from dealers…and every single one seems to be a disaster and all the dealer’s fault. An Aventador, Porsche, ferrari etc. - is there a point where it might be him?

@AutoInfatuation Can recommend the Stena plus lounge if going Scottish route, not hugely expensive and gives you a nice seating area with complimentary snacks and drinks.

@AutoInfatuation I go to Northern Ireland for motorcycle racing every year. The Liverpool boat for an overnight crossing for sure but if it's daytime I'd always go Stranraer/Cairnryan, it isn't the best drive but I'd rather do that than be sitting on a boat all day.

Genuine Hypothetical Questions: Getting a car back to the mainland from Northern Ireland via Ferry ⛴️ Is it really an 8hr crossing? What are the ferry’s like whilst aboard as that’s a fair amount of time to kill? I’m always willing to go basically anywhere to get the right car but I think from the East Coast of the UK to Belfast and back might be a bit of a stretch even if it is a V10 😬

@AutoInfatuation I've been self employed since 2013 but recently did similar and off the cuff applied for a pretty cool job one evening and have a 2nd stage interview for it next week. Also don't know how employment would be but worst case scenario I start my business back up again 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve just redone my CV for the first time in 16 years 👀 Me and my Wife have been binge watching Severance on Apple TV the last week or so, now on Ep.4 of Season 2 (absolutely brilliant bit of TV FYI) I said to her (as odd as it sounds if you’ve seen Severance) I kind of miss being part of a team and knowing what everyday will more or less bring. She went to bed early and I’m sitting in my office catching up with some YouTube, see an ad for Indeed and thought - why not have a look and see what jobs are in my area. 10 minutes later I’m putting together my whole working history, of which I haven’t had to do since 2009 😆📄 I’ve been self employed since 2014 and I’m genuinely not sure how I’d cope having a line manager again but something within me just wants that structure back in my life. Imagine being able to come home from work and not worry about it until the morning when you go back 🤷‍♂️ Get myself a £30-40k a year job and run the car sales as an indefinite part time thing on the side. Pay myself dividends on top of my normal wage at 8.75% Tax up to the higher tax bracket. Have the vast majority of evenings to spend with the wife and kids, get paid when on annual leave, still have nice cars as I’ve always done anyway. Bring things back to how they used to be pre and post COVID but with less pressure on myself to make it all happen, sounds too good to be true 🤔 It would however mean no more getting up at 2.30am to do a 240 mile round trip to Heathrow etc 🥲😬 not sure if I could realistically keep the private transfer stuff at all but that’s the most stressful part of my life anyway. Only could do weekend stuff which is few and far between with the Corporate work I mainly dabble in. Tired thoughts are dangerous, I’m mainly writing this out to see if it makes sense when I read it back tomorrow. I’ll sleep on it and talk it through with my wife in the morning I think regardless 🤔 Would be interested to hear if anyone has gone from long time business owner/self employment, back into a structured employee role and how it panned out for you though…..

Not often that things are kept secret within BSB but this one was kept by all parties. I’m very pleased to see Scott back. How long for; who knows. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins the first race but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Glad to see him back again!

@denkmit @HoweJamie13010 Incorrect......Greenlight use GoPro Hero Sessions on standard GoPro clip mounts.... although they do have some bolt on mounts and occasionally just stick one on top of the dash too.

@HoweJamie13010 TT install their own onboard cameras on some bikes, that's where the footage you see comes from. But they're not GoPros, they're especially designed and in custom mounts. They don't fall off!

Ok…….down to the final 4 choices for the £4k budget, short term family SUV. All of them have the potential to be a nightmare, I am very well aware of this fact but they all tick the boxes we need ticking to replace our mega spec 2007 ML420 CDI. Options are as follows; High spec 2008-2010 BMW X5 30d Late and clean LR Disco 3 or a Ropey/high mileage early Disco 4 HSE 🤔 One of the last 3.6 TDV8 Range Rover L322’s, facelift would be great - either way would need to be Vogue SE spec 2009-2011 Volvo XC90 2.4 D5, ideally in Executive spec Sadly there doesn’t seem to be a Mercedes that fits, facelift GL’s are holding a higher value and the vast majority of R-Classes are painfully low specs.
